This song didn't do all that well in the U.S., but it hit #1 in the UK, if I remember correctly. It is actually one of my favorite downtempo MJ tracks...
The lyrics are excellent and Michael really goes to town on the last half of this song.
Though I haven't really liked any MJ album since Dangerous, he had this period in the mid-to-late 1990s, where I thought he put out a few excellent songs (that unfortunately went nowhere in the US): "Blood On The Dance Floor," "They Don't Care About Us," "Stranger In Moscow," and "Earth Song."

I think his singles from HIStory are incredibly underrated. This one and "Earth Song" especially. The video to this song is one of his best IMO.

It's okay. Save for a small handful of songs, I don't really like much by him after Bad.

Huge hit in Europe. MJ's smallest hit in the US, limping in at #91 on the Hot 100. Love it

With his passing, I've been listening to this song quite a bit. It makes the song all the more sadder. Gorgeous song and video, one of his best.

^ Yeah, I'd actually have to call this my favorite MJ single.
