Well, she probably loves him because he screws everything up, down, left, right, backwards, forwards and inbetween.

From SOHH
R&B Reaches Back to 1980's, Beyonce "Rings The Alarm"
I've barked and b**ched about the quality of music that is being released by some of R&B's most trusted hitmakers, however one thing that I am quite happy to see is the repurposing of trends from the 1980's. Yea, yea history repeats itself, but there are a few people who are doing it and doing it well.
Kelis for one seems to have her finger on the pulse of what's hot. Her upcoming cd Kelis Was Here is highly influenced by the decadent decade. Even the album title conjures up memories of writing your name on your locker in grade school. Check out a track from her tentatively titled "80's Joint".
Amerie, Rich Harrison's former muse has been laying low lately, but she hasn't been snoozing. She too is reaching back to the late 80's. I am told by stylists that she plans on doing leg warmers, hoop earrings and the whole nine. She samples Malcolm McLaren's "World's Famous" for a track she is working on tentatively titled, "Some Like It". The Amerie joint is a rough snippet someone sent to me. I am only using it to show the direction she is thinking about for her new music. I love what she did with that track. Head over to Limewire while you can and download the original.
Janet's second single "So Excited" is a dance track that relies very heavily on a sample by 80's electronic jazz legend Herbie Hancock. Remember the song "Rockit". The video had all those robots and s**t. Well Janet takes that to a whole new level. If you thought Jermaine has the south dancing wait til you hear what he did with this track. Unfortunately I don't have a sample.

Wow, not what I was expecting. this could be really hot.
I read somewhere that Khia was 100% confirmed on the track, like it was an article. Then again it may have been a dream.

Im expecting this to be hot, but Im disappointed that they arent going to be leaking this for a 'while', according to JD, since Call On me is a hit at Urban. That is stupid tho, because they are neglecting the Pop/mainstream audience. She basically doesnt have any song at Pop radio or for all the white folks to realize she's back LOL.

Yeah, Janet would be much better off with focusing on urban. Then at least she could score some minor hits instead of flopping all across the board.

The best thing for Janet right now is the Urban market. That should be her core format from now. She can't release "All Nite" part 2 and "JALW" part 2 just to get her a pop hit again.

Jermaine Dupri said that the video is going to premiere before the album release. However, he didn´t say if Janet already shot it or still had to do it.

Call On Me probably won´t enter in the Top 5 at urban, wich means the strategy went wrong
