Got to do a thread on this really. It's set to re-enter the UK Top 40 this week after featuring on an advert for water. The German based dance group were massive in the early 90s across Europe and managed to score 2 #1 singles in the UK. The second (and largest) of these was the absolutely huge "Rhythm Is A Dancer". It spent 6 weeks at #1 in the UK (the most ever for a dance song) in August and September 1992, and was the 2nd biggest selling single of the year. It also made it to #5 on the US chart in early 1993. The infamous lyric "I'm serious as cancer when I say rhythm is a dancer" was Turbo B's, and he left the group soon after the single was released! UK Chart Run: 13-6-3-2-2-{1}-1-1-1-1-1-3-4-10-14-20-32-50-57 (19 weeks) Video: uk.youtube.com/watch?v=oaCdRHKvtKQ

Top 10 best dance songs ever. I was OBSESSED with this song when it came out, I don't think I ever had that with a song ever again. With early 90's dance music making a come back, an underground club started playing this song again last year in my area, together with Felix's Don't You Want Me and 2 unlimited's Twilight Zone.

I LOVED THIS SONG!!! This was my "gateway" song into Dance/Electronic music back in 1992. The version used in the original video is my favorite one. The version released in the U.S. was sooo horrible. I don't know what they were thinking when they released that one.
