I still say this is too risky to release as the third single. She NEEDS a smash right now and SDB is the only standout track that I think will work well at radio. "Candy Man" should be released fourth after SDB is a hit.

Just like yourself, alot of people will be turned off by it. Whereas with SDB, I think it will be widely accepted.

I don't know how true this is, but I heard this might be a "How To Touch A Girl" case. The label is prepared to change the single immediately if this doesn't start off well.

I think this will go to top 10. I think so too. Christina has been doing a bunch of strange things lately, and I think people are tired of her old style. When I told my friend what an amazing song "Hurt" was, she listened to it and basically said, "Meh, it's what I expected of Christina". With "Candy Man", Aguilera has a chance to explore retro styles and even gain some new fans (but alienate some who liked her epic ballad style). But who knows - "Ain't No Other Man" was very risky, and that performed only fair.

I'd rather SDB but she needs something fast, fun, and up-tempo after Hurt. Candyman embodies all three of those things.
I think SDB would make a bit more sense, coming off "Tell Me" and given how SDB is slightly urban leaning, given the beat and sample.
But whatever, Candyman is fun and I think girls are just gonna totally eat it up. It should still be a hit. Something fun to dance to as the doldrums of winter kick in.

I hate this song, she sounds like an idiot to me. I want to scream FLOP!, but part of me feels like this is going to be a hit.

What a disappointment! I absolutely love this song, but it would work best as a follow-up to "Slow Down Baby". The label has gone crazy.

It wasn't a good idea for the second single, and it's still not a good idea for the third.

I don't know, I think this is definately an attention-getter, and it's catchy in it's own moronic way. With a good video, I can see this being a success.
Maybe we'll all get lucky, and it'll bomb horribly.
