You've never seen a song title and tried to guess what it sounded like?

Does everyone forget judging "Umbrella" based on its title?

Exactly. It's superficial and stupid to base an opinion on a song on something like a title.

Since when do we base songs on titles? Goodness. Ummm, always. Welcome to Sound Check.

Exactly. It's superficial and stupid to base an opinion on a song on something like a title. i agree that it might be stupid(it's fun anyway) but how it is superficial? we just talk about the info we have...chill out

I'm chilled. *Puts down bong and goes off to grab munchies. But if it's the song title you dislike, say as much. Don't assume the song will be crap. It's kinda silly.
I'm just saying.

I don't think you can discredit the song title though. A song title says a lot about the song.
For example, "Since U Been Gone" reflects the song's angst. If it had been "What I Want" or "Here's the Thing" I think that would have affected the song's performance. Why do you think song titles get modified all the time, e.g. "Promiscuous"?

I don't think "Since U Been Gone" reflects angst at all.. Based solely on title I would've thought SUBG would be a love ballad about missing someone. I really think "So What" is a generic title and you can't really tell anything about it based solely on it's title.

Guessing what the song will sound like based on it's title is harmless fun. And you can tell some things from the title... it's hardly going to be a ballad, is it?

Im sure it's going to be an attitude-y type of rockish song, like U + Ur Hand.

I hope not. I want this album to be a departure from that style.

Didn't she mostly work with Butch Walker? He does pop/rock, so I'm sure that's the direction she'll continue in. He co-wrote Long Way To Happy and Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely) - both great songs that should've been the other two singles from I'm Not Dead in the U.S.

Yeah. Danja produced the new Simple Plan album. It's basically a pop/rock album.

For some reason the title makes me think of "There You Go" and the singles from her first album. I liked those songs, but I'd rather she stick with her pop/rock sound.

I really don't think she will go back to her R&B sound although I would like to see how she would with newer producers.

I can't wait to see what kind of work she does with Danja. He has proven to be versatile before so this should be interesting.

Apparently this song was written by Max Martin.

I'm kind of excited about this. I like it when Pink is really poppy and I sort of dig generic, paint-by-numbers songs that don't make you think much. Especially during the summer. Plus she's edgy enough to make a song stand out but not edgy enough to turn you off. Can't wait to hear it.

I am so excited for her new song and album! If this was written by Max Martin, I'm happy. He's a great producer. You have to realize, its Dr. Luke, and not really him, that recreates EVERYTHING! Max Martin>>>>>>>Dr. Luke. IMO anyways. I just can't wait for this. Also, she was huge on Hot AC last time around and WK & UUH went for adds on Hot AC around the same time they did on Pop, yet this doesn't have a Hot AC adds date yet. So I'm wondering if maybe they aren't sending it to Hot AC cause it isn't Pop/rock? Once again, it could mean nothing, but it could mean that its not fitting of the Hot AC format.

GAH!
The new images that have leaked have really sparked my interest. If her new look is quite a bit different, then will that reflect upon the music? It usually does with our girl.
