Taken from the Seattle rock bands debut album Where Have All the Merrymakers Gone?, "Flagpole Sitta" remains to this date their biggest hit, which went Top 40 on Billboard and as high as #3 on the Modern Rock track chart in Autumn 1998. The song is best known in the UK for being used as the themetune to alternative cult sitcom Peep Show which aired on Channel 4 since 2003. Video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xzxDRA93Nk

Hate it. I remember hearing this for the first time when I was 7 and bought the first "Now!" album. Needless to say, my reaction to the lyrics was a resounding "WTF." (Well, not exactly WTF, I was 7. LOL) Anyway, I still can't stand this.
