Leaked. It's great, but it seems like it's missing something. I don't know, I just can't see this being that big on radio. Yea. I was thinking the same thing. I like it but it does seem like somethin is missing but I think it can work on the radio though. The hook is strong though but Im not a fan of some of the lyrics. I would go with "Kill the lights" over this.

I can see why they're taking the risk, though. The chorus is absolutely addictive.

Yea this is hot, but it still seems a bit underwhelming.

My main problem with this song is that it doesn't get really good until the chorus. It seems like it takes forever to build up steam and then the payoff's not big enough.

I love this. "Kill the Lights" is probably better, but this should still do gangbusters.

My problem with this song is that it's missing something that makes it more complete. It's like the verse/pre-chorus/chorus don't really gel together. Those individual parts sound catchy by themselves, but they don't really mesh well together IMO.

Yeah..the transition from the second verse to the chorus is much better...there's no need for the pause the first time. I'm guessing they were just trying to make the song over three minutes. Is it really that hard to come up with a middle 8 for this song, though?

I like this song, but it's a terrible choice for a single, and it's going to be terrible for the album's momentum. It's got great vocals and really nice production, but it's just not instant enough.
Larry may be good for her image, but he has absolutely no idea how to manage her music-wise.
I know a lot of people detest "If U Seek Amy," and I understand why, but that's her next "Baby One More Time"/"Toxic." It should have been the second single. The downloads and airplay would be insane. It's just so damn catchy, in-your-face, and undeniably Britney f**king Spears.
Yeah, the lyrics are absolute nonsense, but as a single I honestly think it'd be a monster-hit.
If Amy is a single, there's going to be like thirty covers of it (much like "Toxic"/"BOMT").
This is kind of like her releasing "Overprotected (Remix)" again. It even sounds similar. I'd be pleasantly surprised if this scraped the Top 10.

^Well.. Overprotected was hot and should have done better, but it wasn't exactly released in an era when Britney was getting hits. None of the songs from the Britney era went Top 10 on Pop.

Well "Womanizer" is huge & is on it's way to being the next Toxic"/"...Baby one more time" so that mission is accomplished. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) I have been listening to "Circus" and the more I hear the more i think it will be huge. It's just so hot and if she has a hot video and gets her ass out and performs like a champ, I have no doubt it will be huge. "If u seek Amy" is annoying and God Awful and I think it would flop beyond belief. I dont get the hype behind that song. I think people are caught up with the F.U.C.K me part. I have not listened to the whole album but I think "circus" or "kill the lights" are the best shots as the 2nd single out of the 4 songs I have heard from the album.

Womanizer isn't THAT HUGE. It's doing well for a Britney Spears single, but I'm pretty sure all of you forgot how massive Toxic was. It's not on it's way. Sure, Toxic was never a Billboard No. 1, but the chart was compiled in a COMPLETELY different way. There's no way in hell Womanizer is going no. 1 on Pop, staying there for at least 4? weeks, and getting 80+ million audience impressions. Toxic was also a Top 10 Rhythmic hit. The song was huge.
As soon as Circus goes for adds, Womanizer will drop like a brick. So many people hate the song, but are just glad she's back and want to support her - and others force themselves to like it. The callout research on All Access is hardly impressive.
As soon as the record comes out, I guarantee you If You Seek Amy will debut on Billboard. This might just because it's the title track, and I'd be happy if this were big, but it's just NOT radio friendly.
I agree that "Kill The Lights" would be a great single, and a far better second single, but I don't think it'd perform any better than "Womanizer." And I doubt it'd get to no. 1. You have to remember that Britney got to no. 1 because of digital sales. Britney has ALWAYS been an album seller - it's going to take a sh*tload of audience impressions to get her back to number one next time.

Maybe it's just me but this was the most instant thing from the album. I think it'll make a good single. I also agree that "If U Seek Amy" will probably blow up and should be third.

Right now "Womanizer" has the 2nd biggest bullet in the top 10 at pop and it keeps gaining. It's already the 4th biggest hits of her career and it's still gaining. It may not be as big as "Toxic" was, but it's certainly doing the job for her and I dont think the success of the song can be dismissed like it isn't a big deal, especially with her track record.
If "kill the lights," "Circus" or anything else off this album were to become as big as "Womanizer" that would be a miracle.

I'm curious as to how this song will do. Womanizer's performance so far will help this song do well initially, but after that it's hard to say. It's def catchy and hot, but it's also a pure pop song that is reminiscent of the bubble gum songs she used to put out. Keep in mind that no one else is putting out poppy songs like this. It's either rock-tinged or hip-hop/R&B-flavored pop songs. We'll see how this does.

I think the reason people can't get away with poppy songs like Womanizer & this is because they ARENT Britney. What I mean by that basically is that this is what Britney is known for and honestly, she does it the best. No, her voice isn't the best, but she's known for this kind of music and pulls it off better than pretty much any other female out there. Womanizer sounds like NOTHING on Pop and honestly, I couldn't even see Riri who's like Britney with a more Urban vibe (and I'm stretching by a long shot, but no one else is even remotely similar). Christina might be able to get away with it, but she's strayed really far from poppy sound & image.
My concern with this though, is its probably not going for adds till January or even February. Womanizer hasn't peaked yet, but with the holidays, things could get f**ked up. Especially with hype and everything. I just hope the holidays don't kill the hype & momentum she's built up.

If the video is amazing, maybe the downloads for the track will be insane.
