If she gets another hit and Bareilles doesn't, I'm going to be angry! You should be angry then. This is a hit, and her album is actually a hit too. I don't know what's so special about Colbie though. I don't see Sara having another unfortunately.

I'm suspecting payola on this one. The trends seem suspicious.

Yea, this is popular with the female demographic so Im not really surprised she has a hit with this.

I wouldn't be surprised, the record company has been beating her into everybody since the beginning.

I don't see Sara having another unfortunately. I'm definitely no fan of Colbie or this song. The thing with Colbie and Sara is simple though. Colbie's (crap) second single is a lot better than her (crappier) first single. So it's an improvement! Sara's (blah) second single is worse than her (great) first single. So it's a disappointment. I'm not surprised Colbie's follow-up is having more success.

Ahhhhh I'm actually starting to like this. Simple harmonies for the win.

Though I would call Bareilles's second single more than "blah. It's still pretty good, but sounds too much like "Love Song." Probably should have gone with "One Sweet Love."

Watch as it loses steam as soon as it hits the Top 10. Hmmmm.

Embarassingly enough, I like this song - after a long time of thinking it was just as bad as Bubbly. Then one day it just sounded good. Weird. I still hate Bubbly though, so I think this is just a one-off incident. *breathes*

I heard this about a month or so ago and really listened to it, and I didn't find it that appalling. I didnt mind Bubbly, either...but I think this one is slightly more tolerable.

Watch as it loses steam as soon as it hits the Top 10. Hmmmm. This isn't payola, if that's what you're suggesting. Sometimes hits just take a minute to get warmed up. I know this didn't catch on immediately for me.

I actually think I wouldn't be bothered by Colbie's success as much of this were a hit before "Bubbly."

I'd prefer if "Bubbly" was never a hit, but that's just me. Seriously, this is miles and miles better and it's not even that different. "Bubbly" just had some of the worst pop lyrics in recent years.
Oh wait, I forgot about Katy Perry...

I know this didn't catch on immediately for me. The record company has been trying to make this girl the next big thing from the beginning. There was so much promo and TV spots everywhere. "Realize" started to lose steam around #13, but then had a sudden resurgence in its bullet. Now that it finally hit the Top 10, the bullet is decreasing quickly. I'm convinced its payola. There's too much evidence too support it. Very similar to what Avril was accused for with "When You're Gone," another obvious case of Payola.

She did a pretty good job with this on Regis & Kelly, but she could learn to move around more on stage.
