All of a sudden out of nowhere, this is blowing up on iTunes. It's currently #81 and it's been moving up quickly with each update (last night it wasn't even on the list and a couple hours ago it was like #95).

Wow, the "Touch it- bring it - pay it - watch it - turn it - leave it - stop - format it" part is from Daft Punk's "Technologic"!

Mary really saved this for me. I love the instrumental... actually all that annoys me is that he sampled that stupid Daft Punk song.

I don't understand how that has anything to do with the song. It seems like he just threw it in there, and figured it would get him noticed.

I think it's a nice gimmicky move and I'm surprised he hasn't shipped this off to CHR/Pop yet. The Daft Punk sample definitely gives it more cross format appeal. "Technologic" was used in an iTunes commercial last year. I just hated "Technologic" from the second I heard it. The rest of this song sounds like Busta's second or third album.

Strangely, I loved the sample in Busta's song and I had no idea that the song in "Touch it" and the song from the iTunes commercial were the same til just now!

Despite the controversy, Busta's label, Interscope, says that plans to promote the video for the remix of "Touch It" are continuing, and the label expects it to begin airing early next month.
Earlier this week, MTV News reviewed a rough version of the video and, true to Rhymes' longstanding image and reputation, the clip is all about partying and joyful performances.
The video begins with Busta and Flipmode member Spliff Starr battling an all-female group of teenage steppers. From there, the video segues into Busta dancing and performing with all six of the guest performers with whom he recorded remixes of "Touch It": Mary J. Blige and her rapping alter-ego Brook, Rah Digga, Missy Elliott, Lloyd Banks, Papoose and DMX. (Elements of the three separate remixes of the song have been edited together for the video.) Each performer is wearing an outfit that matches the color of the set on which they're performing. Other guests in the video also include boxers Winky Wright and Felix Trinidad, reggae singer Sean Paul and DJ Kay Slay.

That is CRAZY! Seem like he ran out and huddled a bunch of people together. Yeah, I just saw the video on MTV now, and there were so many frickin people I was half expecting Clay Aiken and James Blunt to show up, that's how many people are in it. Brooke is just Mary's rap alter ego, though.

Brooke is just Mary's rap alter ego, though. SAY WHAT??! Yeah, didn't you see? It looks just like her. She also raps on her album (although they call her "Brook" there). She wants to sepearate those personalities and say things she can't/doesn't want to say as Mary.
