Haha this is so hot and going right to #1.
I love the "Euro" sound thats in right now, but it seems to only be helping American artists on the bandwagon. I really wish this new craze would extend itself to more UK acts trying to break through.

Haha this is so hot and going right to #1. I love the "Euro" sound thats in right now, but it seems to only be helping American artists on the bandwagon. I really wish this new craze would extend itself to more UK acts trying to break through. I love that electro-pop has crossed over, but American acts have totally taken advantage of it and compromised its integrity in the process. Pop radio playlists, for the most part, consist of mindless novelty tracks that have become unavoidable and increasingly grating. Meanwhile, they continue to mostly ignore the real deal. Some of the best electro-pop tracks this year, like "When Love Takes Over," (DG/Kelly Rowland) "Flashback," (Calvin Harris) "Ambling Alp" (Yeasayer), "Psychic City" (Yacht), "Talk To Me" (Peaches), "The Girl and The Robot" (Robyn/Royksopp), etc. have gone completely unnoticed. The Black Eyed Peas went electro-pop with mixed results, and radio programmers made two of their most heinous, obnoxious singles ever into huge hits. "Meet Me Halfway," while still lyrically inferior to the aforementioned examples, was much more of the real deal...but I guess they weren't into that as much.

I think you're thinking too much. Most of those acts are European, and so if you don't have buzz/promo in the states, there's a low chance that it'll be a hit. "Sexy B!tch" only got big because Akon was on it.

Yeah, she's definitely trying to be Uffie on this. She fails. It really is unbelievable how much this sounds like a badly produced "Tthhee Ppaarrttyy". That song is soooo much better, but I'd played it out so much that it's nice to have a replacement. lol

It's still No. 1 on iTunes and ESOM is down to No. 5. She may get her Hot 100 No. 1 a week earlier than expected.

It looks like she might miss out at being #1 on pop. Lady Gaga is close behind.

I do like this song, but I could appreciate its success more if I didn't feel it was crafted after "Just Dance".

I do like this song, but I don't know how I feel about it being the first #1 of the new decade. It's not THAT good, by any means.

If that's true, I think she beat the record not only for a female, but everyone.

I'm really interested in seeing this week's sales then. Cause she wasn't too far ahead of Bad Romance by looking at Bad Romance. She should definitely be #1, but GaGa should have atleast sold 350k if Tik Tok sold 600k. We could have over 1 million in digital sales just from the Top 2! Now if only album sales were like this.

If that's true, I think she beat the record not only for a female, but everyone. Nevermind. Flo Rida is still #1. She missed it by like 36k.

Would have been ironic if Kesha beat the record set by "Right Round." Her weekly downloads are especially impressive when you consider that there was no suppression involved.

This is hot on Gaga's tracks again. It'll be interesting to see which song is No. 1 next weekend.

That performance was pretty good but damn her voice sounds so awful.
