This is really good. Why wasn't this chosen to be the second single?
I guess they wanted to go with a cover of a familiar song to appeal to soccer moms.

I LOVE how her chest voice joins with her soft, whispery voice towards the end of the song. The vocal layering during that part is breath-taking!

The third verse combined with the chorus makes it one of the saddest love songs I have ever heard. It makes me want to cry

I guess I'm in the minority, but I'm still not absolutely crazy about this. I think it's a nice song, but nothing amazing.

great song, but VERY RISKY single.
it's so artistically different for mariah.
If it was to be released, I would best save it for the FINAL single.

I like the production more than the song itself, it's very chill. This is a potential urban smash, not sure about the other formats.

I think it had a lot of potential, but the vocals are so sh*tty. If she had sung the whole thing the way she sang the third verse, it would've been a great song...and the belting at the end is a huge mess. All they had to do was lower it a few keys and it would've been within her range.

I really love this (this and "Obsessed" and "Angels Cry" in small quantities are the only songs I can tolerate on the album), but I have one burning question...
What does H.A.T.E.U. stand for? Does she every clarify?

Why am I not surprised. Hahahaha that sounds like something she would name a song after.

This is great but I can see why it wasn't picked as second single. It definitely sounds like a fourth or fifth single to me.

She needs to get her ass back in the studio and have Tricky do a single version of this exactly like it was performed on TODAY show. Second verse cut, more background vocals in the chorus, less scratchy adlibs, and a DFAU-esque ending. It'd be HUGE. Everything that was wrong with the track was fixed.

Wow - The Today show performance was awesome. That would make a fantastic radio edit.

This is really stuck in my head. It's so catchy. Maybe it should've been the second single. Considering that it's climbing iTunes maybe it should be released now.

I have a good feeling this will be the next single after hearing this shorter version in addition to the fact there is supposedly a remix they did for this with new vocals.
