They're doing a bunch of contests with NYC radio stations. You can win tickets to see this Irish band perform live at a special show on St. Patrick's Day. I need tickets NOW!

#19 on the Hot 100. Congrats to The Script for the first non-U2 Irish Hot 100 hit since Samantha Mumba!

Wow, I can't believe it's been that long. But seriously, good for them - this is a fantastic song.

Wow, I can't believe it's been that long. But seriously, good for them - this is a fantastic song. Yeah! Although it should be noted that Snow Patrol are from Northern Ireland. So while they are Irish, "Chasing Cars' counts towards the UK's tally rather than the Republic of Ireland's.

I'm so thrilled it's doing that well! This song probably was my most played single last year along with John Legend's "Green Light" and the remix of Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" with Kardinal Offishall.

What the hell? This is about to fall apart right outside the Top 10... it's suddenly got a +44 bullet.
This has been selling consistently for weeks. It's #12 on iTunes and everyone seems to love it. Don't f**k this up radio!

It would certainly be a bummer if this fell apart outside the Top 10 - especially behind completely undeserving garbage like "Carry Out" and "In My Head" - but I honestly barely expected this to scrape the Top 40, so in that sense I'm satisfied that this has become so prominent.

I hear this all the time. I'm sad it's stalling while trash like "Hey Soul Sister" is charging towards the Top 10.

They'll be making an effort next week to get this song into the iTunes Top 10 at last!

New peak of #17 on the Hot 100.
Up to #11 at Pop and the bullet is stable again, but not huge. May get sucked into the Top 10 as the three songs ahead of it are all bulletless, but Adam Lambert, RIhanna, Train, and B.o.B. all pose threats.

This looks back on track now. I hope so. The bullets are all extra high right now because of the addition of new stations, so it's hard to tell.

So frustrating! This is looking like it's going to be a mid-week Top 10. It should pass Lady Gaga ("Bad Romance") and Orianthi in a day or two to grab #10, but Taio Cruz and B.o.B. will pass this by Sunday pushing it right back to #12 for the final update.

BACK in the Top 10 at Pop with an increasing bullet. Taio won't catch up by tonight (not even close) so this is OFFICIALLY a Top 10 Pop hit! Wooooo! Best Pop Top 10 since "Use Somebody," though I might even like this more.

I have a feeling The Script's sound will become a new trend. I hope so! It's the perfect counterbalance to the dance craze that's going on. Catchy pop-rock with a melody that still had some bass, but sounds natural. I wonder what their follow-up strategy will be.

As much as I would like it to be "Rusty Halo", I'm pretty sure they're gonna try for "Before The Worst" again.
