I'm still undecided on this project from Norwegian pop singer Annie. But I'm still posting it here, because it sounds like something that all La Roux/Passion Pit/Golden Filter fans on the board might like. (And because this section of the board has been pretty anemic lately) Even though the 1980s electropop thing is kind of getting old, this album still has kind of a fresh sound. It's far more bubblegum sounding than anything I've heard since New Young Pony Club. Singles have been trickling off of this album since 2008 but the actual project was just released this month. Here's "Songs Remind Me Of You" ( LINK). It's been getting great reviews, but I think it may be too poppy.

I'm pretty sure there's a thread about her on the news section, maybe we should put it here. Anyway, this new version of the album is good, there are like two songs that I dislike. I can't believe that the Designers Drugs remix of "Anthonio" it's not on the album!. It's so hot.
She's already working on her third album with Xenomania.

It was by far the best of the leaked ones. I like it, but I enjoyed her less-dancey tracks like "Heartbeat" and "Chewing Gum" more.
