He is an amazing performer. This is such a great song...it's a crime this didn't make the Top 10 at Pop radio.
If Pink sang this it would have been a #1 smash across the board.
Pop radio is so desperate for music by male artists (look at how they are rewarding DeRulo), if any other "straight" male sang this it would have been a #1.

I don't think his sexuality has anything to do with this song not making the Top 10. If they didn't want to play a song by a gay artist, it would have missed the chart altogether. I think it missed the Top 10 because its spins were spread out over months instead of blowing up fast. This was a hit though.

I agree that if Pink sang this it would've gone straight to No. 1. The fact that Adam couldn't get this into the Top 10 really speaks volumes about his star power.
I don't think Adam has what it takes to be a superstar and it has nothing to do with his sexuality. I wouldn't be surprised if he never hits the Top 20 again.

Yeah, this song had the typical run of a runner-up from American Idol. He's not going to get another hit, and he'll be dropped in a few months.

I think he's more likely than some random person like Ruben Studdard or Katharine McPhee. He's very contemporary and knows what is current.

Ya, I don't think it's impossible that he'll stick around. He's got a heavier media presence than pretty much any other Idol contestant this long after their season - even Kelly and Carrie aren't in the trades as often as he is.

I don't understand the fuss about his voice. I think it's horrid. He screams way too much.

I think that Adam will continue to be somewhat mainstream/mentioned in media because he's been very straight forward about a lot of things to the public. On TOP of that, Adam is one of the ONLY male singers from the Idol series that can really blow (in more ways than one). Kris Allen, Ruben, Justin Guarini, Archie and Cook, NO OTHER highly publicized Idol contestant could EVER. He kinda reminds me of the male version of Fanny, cause she screams as much as he does (for the haters). He's also got raves from the pros. Adam also brings the personality and has held his own with some greats, thanks to the collabos in his season. I think he will continue to have quality music. It's been a while since the debut of an Idol contestant has been THIS solid, since Katherine McPhee, Fantasia, or Jennifer Hudson at least.

If she'd recorded this and released it as a single, there isn't a cat in a hell's chance this would've missed #1.

I can't really make out how she'd sound on it because she sounds incredibly flat in that video.

Well, she did say before singing it that she "found the guy who could sing it better than her". Also, I agree that Adam sings it better, however, this was her first performance of it, so I'm sure it will get better the more she sings it. I do agree though, that had she released it (regardless of Adam's being better) it would have gone Top 5 at least.
