Nearly four years after her one hit, Lumidee now has another Top 50 pop smash!

WTF @ the Z100 DJ's. One of them was just like "here's new music from Lumidee who has one of the most anticipated albums of the Spring coming out."
UHHHHH am I in some weird trance or something?

It's hilarious how this is her lead single when she's hardly even on it. The only time that ever works is if the lead artist is barely on it because they produced the track. Lumidee just tacks on a rap and suddenly it's her song.
Anyway, I just listened to this for the first time and the production is hot, but the song is just blah. I probably won't mind hearing this on the radio every now and then but if it blows up, it's going to become a definite station turner.

The funny part of the song is that Lumidee plays the part of the "she" that's like the wind. This dude is feeling all emotional rollercoaster by Lumi and let's face it, she is NOT a good looking woman. She also strikes me as having a foul odor.

Still can't believe of ALL the one hit wonders from this decade, the most anonymous and most joked about one of the time manages to make it back.

I think thats a slight exaggeration but I guess everyone has their own perception of a one hit wonder.. I dunno, I mean, she has another 'hit' lol...the world isnt about to burst into flames

I think thats a slight exaggeration but I guess everyone has their own perception of a one hit wonder.. I dunno, I mean, she has another 'hit' lol...the world isnt about to burst into flames Well when she first came out in 2003, the NYC DJ's made fun of her ALL the time because she named her debut "Almost Famous." The Power 105 DJ's usually laughed playing "Lumidee's one hit" or "The uh oh song by whats-her-name." Then Wendy Williams spent half an hour one day tearing the girl apart and I happen to hear it. Then there was the whole make-believe cocaine scandal thing lol. So that's why I say she became a one-hit wonder joke.

I heard the version with only Tony Sunshine again today on the radio. It sounds so weird cuz its so stripped down, just his voice and the beat. No Lumi

lol the fact that "her song" may debut on the Hot100 doesn't make it a hit so she would still be a one-hit wonder.

She did an interview on Hot 97 today. She was said something along the lines of "That one hit I had three years ago had me judged ever since based on a song that I consider an accident and my weakest material. It was a struggle but NOW I AM BACK!"
Yeah, you're back and there's a radio edit of your new single that eliminated you from it completely. Be proud Lumi, be very proud.

She's STILL on that "i sounded like sh*t on that song because i recorded it with one riddim and then he switched it for another one and THAT'S why I sound off key, not because I can't sing" sh*t?
just be lucky you're getting another hit.
oh yeah, i saw an informercial for some workout DVDs this morning and they played that "uh oooh" crap as an example of the actual music. I'd almost rather listen to crappy canned instrumental excercise music than Lumidee.

Airbrushed, from the shoulder up, and hidden in some huge Easter bonnet and she STILL looks fat.

She doesn't look fat, per se, she just looks thick
