I'm really needing a break from her. I don't even want another single right now.

This did awful on itunes. If her new albums not due until next year she definitely shouldn't release another single. 6 months will be perfect time for people to be excited about her again.

I agree. I think the performance of "Alejandro" should be a sign for her and her team to stop now, people are growing tired of her. If she is going to start rolling out promo for the new album on New Year's Eve, she can drop the first single in mid-January and the album to follow in March.
The only thing is she is about to embark on a North American tour to promote The Fame Monster, so they might want to have a single out to promote it.
I can see them releasing another single now because of the tour, and then she will take September-Christmas off and then come back again.

This is actually the confirmed last single off of The Fame Monster, also a big LOL at anyone who thinks that a top 5 single on both Pop radio and Billboard that's the 7th single from a project is a sign that people are "tired of her".

I knew that if I didn't exactly spell out what I was trying to say, someone would think I meant that "Alejandro" flopped. It certainly didn't, but it wasn't a big blockbuster compared to her previous efforts.

I can't believe this peaked higher than "Paparazzi" on the Hot 100.

I know. And didn't Paparazzi, at one time or another peak at #1 at both Digital Songs and airplay, yet only ended up with a #6 peak?

That's not what I was saying at all. This didn't sell well at all compared to her other singles (even "Lovegame" seemed to have more of a presence on itunes) so it would be wise for the label to see this and give her a break

Single sales are irrelevant when you still have the whole album is still in the top 10.

I think Lady Gaga is probably tapped out in sales right now. At this point who doesn't already have The Fame Monster?
