cyndi lauper? She looks like a cross between Cyndi and Gwen in those pics. She's capable of looking/dressing beautiful, but she goes out of her way to look ugly. I'm excited she's releasing a single written/produced by someone other than Linda Perry. This better leak tomorrow.

Those who have heard it are saying the song is very similar to Chris Brown's "Forever" in terms of the production. And then vocally it's like "Get Sexy".

Ew, any comparison to a Chris Brown song is not good. My expectations were just lowered.
Oh, and if people have heard it then I'd expect a leak soon...

I'm just realizing that it's been 10 years since Christina had her last Hot 100 #1.

FIRST SINGLE “NOT MYSELF TONIGHT” WILL PREMIERE ON CHRISTINAAGUILERA.COM AT 6PM EDT ON 3/30 (Tuesday), IMPACTS RADIO ON 4/5 AND WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE ON iTUNES ON 4/13There will be a preview/snippet on her official website tomorrow (Friday March 26th) I wonder if this will be a Hot 100 #1 for her. What is the competition looking like? I wonder when/if she is performing on American Idol. If she performs it on Wed. April 14 (the day after it goes to iTunes), it should be pretty major!

I'm excited for this. Like I said, I'm not a fan of her, but hearing talent on Pop radio again will be refreshing. Let's just hope it's up to par with everyone's expectations.

The fact that Ester Dean and Polow are involved in this is what makes me most excited.

Polow is so hit or miss IMO. He does have a lot of jams, but he also has some WTF moments too.

The song appears to be 3:55 in length according to her website. What times does the preview premiere tomorrow?
The lyrics remind me of the Back To Basics album track "Still Dirrty".

One of the dancers reported from the audition
Like I said earlier, my friend is at the audition. I'm on the phone with him now. Jeri is the choreographer, and Gilbert is assisting. Basically, Gilbert already has the job. Kiki and Gil Duldulao (Janet's choreographer) are watching. Not sure if Kiki and Gil will be dancing with her. They're just watching.
Okay, first things first. The song. It's not hip hop or R&B at all. The song is very Pop. It kinda gives me a BEP/PCD kinda vibe. Doesn't sound like Polow Da Don's typical stuff. I wouldn't expect this to get played at a Hip Hop club or anything. So, to the people worrying about "ghetto this" and "ghetto that", it's not. From what I could hear, it's not an extremely fast uptempo or anything. It's an uptempo in the way "Dirrty" was. It's fast-ish (is that word?), but not super speed like "Ain't No Other Man" was. Kinda like "Buttons" as far as speed. Christina is giving you full out vocals. It's not subdued or autotuned. She's giving you signature Christina. "Tell Me" vocals with the belts on certain words here and there. I couldn't hear it crystal clear, because they have the music so damn loud. The dancers are only auditioning to the intro, first verse, and the hook. They're not playing the full song.
They took all phones for the last 2nd cut. He said, "They would play this in a gay white club!.. Really catchy, really Pop, but not HipHop/R&B at all....The beat switches up for an 8 count, and then they bring it back." The song was played in full at the end. He said the beat reminds him exactly of "Forever" by Chris Brown. And it's signature Christina. Vocal acrobatics and all that. Especially toward the end.
Although, that sounds contradictory. It's not super-fast, and not like ANOM, but it sounds like "Forever"?
I Tweeted a dancer who attended the audition, asking her if it sounded like "Forever" or "Buttons" and she replied...

Pop is what's really in at the moment so this could be a hit. The "Buttons" comparison has me excited again!

An 18 second clip has been posted on her website (the 2nd verse, with the line about kissing all the boys and the girls)
I'm not in love with it based on the clip alone, but it sounds like it's about to get good when it cuts off. I could easily see the song being either amazing or complete sh*t.

I really can't judge based on that. But the beat sounds like your typical dance record, so I don't see why this won't be a hit.

The way she sings that verse is terrible. I don't like the melody of it.

This sounds like a poor man's version of "Sexyback." But with a lot more desperation.
