I only just became familiar with this song, and it's already top 20. Very catchy (albeit deceptively so considering the subject matter), and reminds me a lot of Peter Bjorn & John.

Not sure how I feel about the verses (remind me of White Town's "Your Woman") but that chorus is soooooo good.

Yikes... just paid more attention to the lyrics on second listen. Very disturbing stuff.

Yikes... just paid more attention to the lyrics on second listen. Very disturbing stuff. If you hadn't said anything I might not have ever noticed. It was so pleasant and catchy until now

I don't get it. It this glamorizing the high school shootings? Because the way it's sung it's not like it's got an anti-violence message or anything.
I REALLY enjoyed this song but now I CAN'T listen.

#1 on Alternative, and should stay there by the next update.
I can't defend the logic, but whenever I hear this I think of the New Radicals. They don't sound the same, but there's something about them that's very similar to me.

This might be the weirdest add I've ever witnessed.

Good, I'm not crazy with my comparison. They're primed to have a pop hit with this and then we'll never hear from them again

There sure are some interesting remixes for this. The Chrome Canyon one turns this into 80's quiet storm R&B lol.

The whole album is really good. It's got some hits! I like the album, but it's too dance-y for Alternative, and not accessible enough for pop. One of my favorite tracks on the album is "Call It What You Want" but it's dance pop that sounds so dated it could be on an MTV Party To Go Compilation. Which is not a criticism, it's a an observation

Forgot about MTv Party To Go! Damn!
My three favorites are "Helena Beat," "Waste," and "I Would Do Anything For You." The first could be another Alternative #1 and the later could be a Pop hit.

Weird how they went with one of slowest songs on the album for the first single.

This is so catchy though. I'm surprised the media hasn't clocked on to what it's about though.
I've thought a lot about the message of this song and I think it's anti-bullying because no way in hell would they be endorsing "let's go on a shooting rampage!"

"Helena Beat" has already cracked the Top 50. They really need to release it officially, asap.

Added at Z100 I'm stunned that this is becoming a radio hit. I really like it and I'm certainly all about alternative crossovers to CHR right now, but I don't even think this is that pop-friendly. I'll take it though!
