Well if you ask me, she was lucky she got what she got with Born This Way because that song was very average, so I think this is the law of averages.

"Born This Way" is currently higher than this on iTunes.

I think she made a mistake releasing something novelty and then immediately going back to her usual recipe, especially without an album out.

But this is going back up. Its 15 at itunes after a low of 19. Its also 17 on pop radio with a solid bullet (will probably be 13 in the next week).
With the video premiere and Oprah this week, I think things should be just fine.

Things have started to take a turn for the worst after looking fine a couple of days ago.
Video or bust at this point.
It's be weird to move on to a third single right around the album release, but in case this peaks I guess they need to prep Marry the Night.

A sobering example of what sudden fame can do to a decent lounge singer from New York. She's now had Oprah and the video release...and Judas has risen 3 places on iTunes. The artist topping iTunes hasn't even set foot in the US in over 2 months. If i was her record company I would be getting a little worried by now.

lol nah...Gaga's album will sell a lot during its first weeks...then i think she needs to do promo...her new material sucks compared to the singles from the last era.

She's just done one of the biggest, most influential talk shows in the world and not a lot has happened to Judas so far. I agree her album will sell in big numbers in the first few weeks but when her LMs have all bought a copy (or 2) she will have to rely on the 'floating voters' picking up on her stuff to keep selling in any sort of numbers. And if the 2 'lead singles' are anything to go by, well.....It may be that BTW and Judas turn out to be the 2 worst tracks on the album (but what record company would release the 2 worst songs on the forthcoming, most anticipated album as lead singles?). The BTW era is going to be interesting to see unfold.

Lady Gaga 'Judas' Video 'Fulfills Our Vision,' Laurieann Gibson Says New clip shows 'who she is, how many levels she can go,' clip's co-director tells MTV News.
By Matt Elias
By now Lady Gaga's little monsters have had their ferocious appetites satisfied with the premiere of the pop star's new video for "Judas" — whether they caught the leaked "Judas" online or waited for the full seven-minute version that premiered on E! Thursday night (May 5).
Up until its debut, the clip's co-director, Laurieann Gibson, has had to remain pretty tight-lipped about the top-secret project. That is, until now. MTV News sat down with the choreographer-turned-director, who was finally able to spill the beans on the highly anticipated video.
"With 'Judas,' I'm so happy," Gibson, beaming with pride, told us on Thursday afternoon. "Because as her choreographer and her creative director, and then collaborating with 'Judas,' I was able to sit in the director's seat and fulfill our vision and see it all the way through. So at the end of the day, you saw how amazing she looks — beautiful — she's dancing again. And it's just great because I was able to produce the next level: who she is, how many levels she can go and the idea that this artist is a real artist and capable."
Gibson was referring to reservations that she'd had about Gaga's "Born This Way" video, which didn't go creatively as far as she wanted. For "Judas," Gibson was able to take a more hands-on approach, which included choosing among several concepts.
"I think the concept stuck with this one because, ultimately, there was a place where we wanted to leave the interpretation up to each individual and not take away [Gaga's] power as a performer, as a dancer, as a star," Gibson explained. "And to leave the moments for you to interpret and be inspired by the fact that everyone has a Judas in their life and that there is a place of deliverance. For me, I interpret differently than her, and for someone else, they'll interpret it differently.
"But as the director, I was really excited about filling the frame, using the Phantom [camera], creating a different dynamic in the way we approached the shots; never stop moving the lens, never lock off, complementing her with the way she moves, making it graceful when she's strong in her movement," she continued.
For die-hard fans curious about the video's story line, Gibson clued us in on one particular scene.
"In the marketplace, if you noticed, it was supposed to be a rock concert," she revealed. "And if you look closely ... I took the inspiration from, you know, in New York, when they're building a new building and they have the scaffolding — that's where that inspiration came from. Jesus would eventually arrive to perform at a rock concert, and so it has that town circle and they're about to perform."

Lady Gaga Says 'Judas' Video Isn't 'An Attack On Religion' 'I respect and love everyone's beliefs,' she tells E! News after clip's TV premiere.
By Jocelyn Vena (@jocelyn1212)
While Lady Gaga's "Judas" video leaked on Thursday afternoon (May 5), the clip got its official premiere on E! later that night. Gaga sat down with E! News to chat about the funky, pop-culture-influenced revolving around a love triangle between Mary Magdalene (Gaga), Judas (Norman Reedus) and Jesus (Rick Gonzalez).
Fashion, longing and betrayal rule in the video, directed by Lady Gaga and her creative director, Laurieann Gibson. (The version that appeared on E! was billed as "uncut," but it didn't differ from the leaked version.)
As is expected with anything Gaga does, the video will have people talking. But, Gaga notes, the video isn't meant to cause controversy.
"In my opinion, the only controversial thing about this video is that I'm wearing Christian Lacroix and Chanel in the same frame," she joked, adding, "This video is not meant to be an attack on religion. I respect and love everyone's beliefs. I'm a religious and spiritual person who's obsessed with religious art. I'm obsessed with it.
"I believe I was put on this earth to cause a ruckus," she continued. "At the beginning, when I came out with 'Just Dance,' I couldn't get an interview. ... I couldn't get on the radio. I just want to keep making stuff that's great and thought-provoking."
So what does Gaga think of the video? "Honestly, it came out more incredible than I thought it would. It's so beautiful. It's like a fresco come to life. We went on set and we just shot the sh-- out of it."

It's been stuck at #11 on iTunes, even after all the video release and drama
+27 spincrease at Pop today at #15, with Pitbull coming on strong behind her.
I'd say this might not even make the Top 10, but it probably will just because it's her.

I'm surprised this isn't doing better. It is way overproduced and sounds too much like "Bad Romance," but at the same time it's catchy and much better than "Born This Way." I wonder how this would have done as a lead single.

He problem is people can't relate to these videos she does and her image is getting more and more OTT by the moment. It worked fine for the first album because it was brand new, but now the novelty factor of it is wearing off. People are still interested in her, but she needs to tone it down a notch... and instead she's toning it up.

I actually think "Judas" is her most "normal" video in a while. It's very understated for Gaga.

It says a lot if pretending to be Mary Magdalene is understated!

A lot of this song is just straight-up noise, the instrumental breakdown, the terrible verses, the "juda-juda-a-a" adlib. It's just sloppy. I'm not surprised it's underperforming, I'm surprised it's doing as well as it's doing. I wasn't a huge fan of "BTW," but it was far more straight forward and at least anthemic at certain points.

This song may be underperforming, but I still think her album will sell 500k+ the first week. If her first two singles were as big as "Just Dance" and "Poker Face" I think she would have been able to sell over a milli in the first week.
