He's not great but he's better than her AND in a better career position right now.

He isl ucky to have her. The $20 million deal is for television, not music. She had her biggest hit in eight years but it wasn't as big as either o Enrique's two smashes of the past year. Also "her biggest hit in years" doesn't say much when she's been struggling just to chart since 2003.

Enrique is not in some kind of stellar place musically. He couldn't sell an album if his life depended on it and he is one song away from irrelevancy at pretty much all times. Jennifer Lopez, flop or not, is a star and gets people talking. And since he can't get a hit on his own, dueting with her is probably a great idea.
And LOL at him being a better singer than anyone, let alone J.Lo who is awful in her own right. He is a TERRIBLE vocalist, genuinely can't sing a LICK.
FYI, I am not some J.Lo stan, I pretty much think she sucks at everything. But Enrique is bottom of the barrel right along with her.

They both got a hit because they teamed with Pitbull and RedOne at the right time, not because people all of the sudden cared about them, and J. Lo was/is being helped out big time by AI promo.

I agree with a lot of this, but some of it is exaggerated. In the past year... Enrique had two HUGE hits and he didn't do it with the help of being major network TV promo or by being on the most watched television show in America each week. J. Lo had ONE hit to coincide with all of her AI publicity, and it wasn't as big as either of Enrique's two hits. She put a follow up out featuring the most popular rapper of the moment (one who nearly sold a million in one week just now) and it still flopped hard. I'd say people are more interested in J. Lo as a celebrity, no doubt. But I think looking strictly at music/radio, there's more interest in Enrique. He could have leveraged his two recent huge hits to have gotten a female duet partner who is hotter *musically* at the moment.

And his two huge hits latched on to a current dance trend and he piggybacked it. The same way he piggybacked the Latin trend at the beginning of his career. Not to mention they're easily (already) forgotten. People do not care about him, he's at the same level as those other no names like Jason Derulo and Taio Cruz who have big hits and no one gives two flips who they are. He's always riding the line between hits and obscurity.
Speaking of Lil Wayne and Enrique's two big hits, "Dirty Dancer" had two big names on it and radio still rebuffed him. So much for leveraging artists to get a hit. Jennifer Lopez on this track will give it buzz and if it's hot, will probably do well at radio.
And he probably can't get a bigger duet partner, because none of the big females right now would work with him. Rihanna/Katy Perry/Gaga, hell, even the likes of Ke$ha would probably laugh if he asked them.

The version that leaked is supposedly a remix. If they beef up the production a bit, this could be damn hot.

It'd be hard to imagine either of them having a hit a few years ago, but they've definitely come a long way. There is something about the combination of both of them, though, that just seems like it won't be taken seriously.

This song is hot. I must be a fan of the remix then. I'm afraid to hear the original.

I'm in love with this now. Would've been a much better single than that "I Like How It Feels" crap.
