Darkchild's production is hot. She needs to re-record the vocals though.

I do like that the verses reference her inspirations...
Hey hey hey, what's the scenario (A Tribe Called Quest) Them boys keep passin' me by (Pharcyde) I said, no diggity, no doubt (Blackstreet) I-I-I told you I was fly (Sugar Ray) Yeah he and all of this friends They, they got their hair like hi-five (Hi-Five) I don't want to talk about sex (Salt-n-Pepa) Wanna express myself tonight (Madonna)
That boy gonna feel my poison (Bell Biv DeVoe) I know he can't stand the rain (Ann Peebles) Now you wanna be down with your baby (Brandy) Back and forth, back and forth (Aaliyah) Back, back, back and forth You got my rump rump shaking (Wreckx-n-Effect) I'm another bad creation (Another Bad Creation) All real and I never have to fake it, fake it You know I gotta move quick and I gotta move slow Cause there ain't no end in the road (Boyz II Men)

Interesting. Didn't even notice that.
I'm thinking poison if probably a reference to Bel Biv Devoe's song, lol. And Salt N Pepa also had a single called "Expression." So that ones in the air.
And the they actually say no diggity no doubt in the song, so I'm thinking no reference to Gwen and company.

Interesting. Didn't even notice that. Well yeah, because you can't hear a damn word she's saying.

I believe there was a Chris Brown song that did something similar, not to mention that MIMS song that sampled like five different classic hip hop songs.
Supposedly Interscope didn't send this to radio until 9p last night. I'm starting to worry that radio might not give this the time of day...

Once I got past the initial shock of the horrible vocals, I'm now addicted to this song. It's one of the best lead-off singles from an artist in quite some time.

Ugh, this is so my jam right now, even her hideous vocals. It makes the song more fun to sing, lmao.
"I'M GONNA HEYYEAH MY FAVORITE SONG" I absolutely die.

You guys are way too loyal to Nelly Furtado on this board. This song blows.

I hated this at first but I loooooove it now! You guys are way too loyal to Nelly Furtado on this board. This song blows. It's actually getting pretty great reviews across different websites (Pitchfork for example).

This is off to a DOA start at both radio and iTunes. The marketing behind this is nonexistent.
As for the song, it's got some hot aspects but it's just not that catchy to me. I was hoping for something instantly catchy like pretty much EVERY song on Loose.

Does this song remind anyone else of Nicole's "Whatever U Like?"

I really want to like this. I love Nelly and there are some incredibly hot parts, but her vocals are just awful and too much of the song is sh*t.
Pass.

Am I the only one that liked it on first listen? It could be better but it's got a nice vibe.
I'm more afraid it's too late for her to make something trendy and have it be a hit.

it sounds like a song timbaland would make during his flop periods...it is a bunch of different beats put into one song..it has some hot parts but this will flop and it's not the sound i want from her

Worst song of the year! Very disappointed in her! The production is busy and her voice is absolutely detestable in this. Call it a heater and leave it off the album and come up with better.

this FLOPPED so hard..not even top40 at pop...it seems like there is no interest for her.

sh*t song trumps any interest people might have. Hopefully she has something better up her sleeve, because I think she's still enough of a name that a hot song would get her airplay.

She waited too long. I hardly think she's succeed with a listenable song.

This song sounds like the PERFECT followup single to her alum"Loose"....the problem is she is 6 years TOO LATE. This song wouldve been hot around 2008 but she waited too long and now she has to start from scratch and rebuild her fan base AGAIN but wont have as much luck as she did last time.
