I just don't think any of her songs sound like hits. I'm sure if she put out something that was hot as hell, her lack of "identity" wouldn't mean a thing.

...which brings me to the question of why they didn't find Nicole better songs in the first place. Like you said, they did it with Rihanna, and I would think that for the presumably-hyped solo debut of THE Pussycat Doll they would've done more to make sure it succeeds. Unless of course you believe the conspiracy theory that they want her to flop so the PCD gravy train can continue, but IMO I think Nicole flopping as a solo artist would tarnish the group's image.
I think they screwed up with the timing of "Baby Love". I know all you guys hate it, but I think it would've been a hit in the more breezy spring/early summer time. Like I said in its thread, it's more of a female friendly song who would be less likely to be turned off by the sugar. "Whatever U Like" was a mess, but it sounded like an annoying smash to me, especially with T.I. on it.
I don't even remember how this one goes after listening to it once, but it didn't sound like a hit.

"Whatever U Like" should have been a hit, in my opinion.

"Whatever U Like" should have been a hit, in my opinion. I agree. Her stupid label totally f**ked that one up. No adds date, no promo, no nothing. It could have been a big hit, I think.

The single version features Will.I.Am. This is horrible.
