ROTFL, this song is on Drew Barrymore's celeb PL on iTunes and as good as it is, she refers to this album as being from 1996:
"this whole album was always playing in '96 for me"
unless that has some other meaning I've missed?!

This song is amazing! I don't care much for the rest of their album though.

I insist that this song sounds like a classic. I can't believe that MCR's songs are doing better than this. I really want this to be #1.

I really want this to be #1. Me too. If it can retain it's bullet, it should have no problems doing so in the next week or two.

This would be the most deserving #1 from a "new" band in a LONG time. "New" in this case meaning a band who's yet to score a #1 on this chart.

This is actually #3 on the official latest R&R Alternative chart. Mediabase is not matching up.

Remember ever since Billboard bought out R&R, their charts don't follow Mediabase anymore.

Remember ever since Billboard bought out R&R, their charts don't follow Mediabase anymore. That's right, thanks. Wow- so if ever songs #1 and #2 are separated by only a few spins, there's really know way to know for sure till the charts are published then.

Yeah the Muse are fantastic, I'm pissed I didn't see them at the Big Day Out.

I'm also really annoyed I haven't been able to see them in concert yet. The last 2 times they were in NY I was doing something that I apparently thought was more important. Ok, so I never loved this single. I liked it, but it's my least favorite Muse single to date and not one of my favorites off the new album. Sorry, I know everyone else loves it I just think the bassline annoys me, and the Pet Shop Boys piano thing. But I'll be thrilled if they score a #1.

Yes! What are they going to release next? I don't hear another radio hit on the album.

Yes! What are they going to release next? I don't hear another radio hit on the album. The bigger question for me is why is this not being pushed at all outside of Alternative radio? It could be a big hit at HAC and even Pop with the proper push, and even a LITTLE promotion.

Maybe it's because they're basically not selling albums.

Maybe it's because they're basically not selling albums. Yeah but then the reason is just a cycle because it's very hard to sell albums on JUST Alternative airplay. Either you need to crossover to other formats or have a solid undeground base. Look how bands like The Shins and Bloc Party have far less Alternative play but still sell better, because they nurture their bases in outlets other than just radio. Muse is like... really bad at finding outlets beyond radio to promote themselves (which in a way makes it all the more impressive that they've now had four Top 10 hits at Alt radio)
