HOT 100 RUNDOWN 1. Run it 165.991 (-11) 2. Laffy taffy 84.337 (-) 3. Gold digger 82.17 (-13) 4. Photograph 86.385 (-2) 5. Soul survivor 99.743 (-14) 6. My humps 59.884 (-10) 7. Don’t forget about us 159.957 (+17.9) 8. When I’m gone 38.082 (+2) 9. Stikwitu 84.467 (+5) 10. We be burnin 84.288 (-7) 11. Grillz 83.223 (+16.9) so #1 is out of the question this week obviously. laffy taffy, gold digger, photograph, stickwitu, we be burnin and grillz would need to each sell around 35k to go ahead of Mariah or stay ahead of her. None of those songs sold that much last week and every single one of them except grillz showed significant drops in its sales. also this week the only song from those 6 that gained substantially on itunes was grillz... it's been sitting at #4 for most of the week... last week's #4 hot digital song was Mariah's all I want for christmas and it sold 34k... my humps would need about 50k to stay ahead of Mariah (last week it sold 30k) soul survivor would need about 30k to stay ahead of Mariah (last week it sold 18k) when I'm gone would need 55-60k to pass Mariah (last week it sold 46k) if none of those songs sells what they need to sell to stay ahead of her, Mariah may very well end up at #2 on the Hot 100. the only two songs that have a realistic chance of staying ahead of her are photograph and laffy taffy but both songs will need to show an increase in their sales to do that. it's highly unlikely eminem will pass her... the only other song that poses a serious threat is nelly with grillz but since his pop play is really low their bds airplay difference is likely to be even bigger than what it seems to be on mediabase plus he would need to sell at least 10k more than what he did last week to become a threat... the worst case scenario would be what u said; Mariah @ #5 but I think she'll end up at either #3 or #2... prediction #2 thanks for the full wrap-up

i think DFAU might miss the #1 spot in rhythmic to nelly:( I'm not conversant in "chart speak" so could this ^^ development affect DFAU's chances at #1 on the Hot 100? unlikely ;D

someone just reminded me of something.
The "total weeks @ 1" record held by elvis. It stands at 80 weeks.
with WBT, what's mariah's total now? The fact that DFAU has the potential to do it (a song I love), is making me freaken excited !!

Nice jump!!! Is it still too far from Run it? yeah, run it is still far ahead. about 35 million in terms of airplay. but mariah will be within striking distance by the time dec 13 comes round.

the airplay is really starting to pick up again. 142 million
its funny because one week DFAU is the greatest gainer airplay. then the following week it slows down... then the next week it picks up again.

As previously reported, Island Def Jam postponed the digital release of "The Emancipation of Mimi" to late December. Further information reveals that "Don't Forget About Us" is scheduled to be digitally released on December 20th (and could be pushed forward to December 13th.) The new Jermaine Dupri remix will be sent out to radio stations as early as next week, and will be available for digital downloading in December as well. Source: Mariah Daily JD remix............UGH!..........she should have worked with someone else for the remix anybody but JD it has bone-thugs and TI and bow wow

^Some stations do care about where it is on the Hot 100. so a top10 single is considered disappointing ??

Wow that sounds promising !! not to mention - NEW VOCALS by MARIAH !!! (I'm assuming because of the new lyrics in the chorus)

The reason I think this is because the week it was on iTunes for a day, they knew #1 was impossible for her at that time, so why would they have even tried? possibly to guage how strong sales will potentially be?
