WHAT'S 'KNEW': For the third time in her career, Pink has extracted a pair of consecutive top 10 hits from an album. A move of 14-9 on the Hot 100 puts "Who Knew" (LaFace) in the top 10 for the first time, a particularly sweet victory for a single that failed to become a hit when it was first released in May.

"Who Knew" is Pink's second top 10 hit in a row from her "I'm Not Dead" set, following "U + Ur Hand," which peaked at No. 9 in May. Pink also had back-to-back top 10 hits from her first chart album, "Can't Take Me Home," in 2000. "There You Go" went to No. 7 and "Most Girls" reached No. 4. The following year, the "Missundaztood" album yielded "Get the Party Started," which peaked at No. 4. Then "Don't Let Me Get Me" and "Just Like a Pill" both went to No. 8, giving Pink three consecutive top 10 hits from one CD.

The first single from "I'm Not Dead" was "Stupid Girls," which only went as high as No. 13 in March 2006.

Justin has a bigger bullet now, but he's so far behind in total spins. I think he'll peak at No. 2 (or 3) while "Who Knew" enjoys a long stay at the top.

Justin's bullet is very insignificantly bigger than Pink's though. For all intents and purposes, you can basically say they have the same size bullet.

Hello Keith,

First off, I love your column and I read it every week.

Secondly, I have two questions about Pink. My first question is: Since she is having a remarkable comeback with two back-to-back Billboard Hot 100 top 10 singles this year "U + Ur Hand" and "Who Knew," does her record label have any plans to re-release her "I'm Not Dead" album to capitalize on this much deserved-success?

The album is still sitting in the top 50 of The Billboard 200 chart and a re-release with some new tracks would no doubt rocket the album back into the top-10 and maybe even help it cross the two million mark.

There has been speculation that a re-release may materialize ever since "U + Ur Hand" became a surprise hit in the U.S. Are any of these rumors true?

My second question is in regards to the fourth single off of "I'm Not Dead" (or fifth single, depending on how you look at it). I read somewhere that it will be "Nobody Knows." Is this true?

I spoke to Pink's publicist today and she told me that not only are there no plans to re-release "I'm Not Dead," but there will not be another single in the U.S. after "Who Knew."

I know. Take a moment. Breathe. I'm sure Pink fans are screaming "what the?!"...

Keep in mind that plans can change. Remember when "U + Ur Hand" was taking off outside of America? I wrote about that in Ask Billboard back in July 2006 and spoke to Pink's rep about "Hand" hitting our shores. They said that the single wasn't going to be released in the U.S.

Obviously, those plans changed. "U + Ur Hand" started to impact U.S. radio in November 2006 and ultimately hit No. 9 on The Billboard Hot 100 in May.

So far, "I'm Not Dead" has sold 977,000 in the U.S. according to Nielsen SoundScan. At the rate it is selling, it should blow pass the one million mark in the next month or so. It has soundly beat the sales of her previous set, 2003's "Try This," which has moved 724,000.

If they have no plans to release "Long Way to Happy" or "Leave Me Alone" next, then I'd rather "Who Knew" be the last single. In my opinion, those are her only chances of getting another hit in the U.S. I'd hate to see her flopping again.

Pink posts back-to-back No. 1s on the CHR/Top 40 radio chart as "Who Knew" rises from No. 2 to No. 1 four months after "U + Ur Hand" topped the list. Pink is the second artist, following labelmate Justin Timberlake, to claim multiple No. 1s this year. The last female to scale the summit with successive singles was Mariah Carey, whose "Shake It Off" followed "We Belong Together" in 2005. "Knew" is Pink's fourth career No. 1 to go along with four other tracks that peaked at No. 2. All told, she's the artist with the most top two singles in the 15-year history of the CHR/Top 40 chart. Carey is in second place with seven top two singles, while Boyz II Men and Jennifer Lopez each have six. Speaking of Lopez, her single "Do It Well" is poised to enter the CHR/Top 40 chart next week. It's the first offering from her "Brave" album, due Oct. 9.
