ok I just listened to it and it's not THAT bad. LOL. Maybe because I read all the horrible comments before listening to it, I was expecting something really terrible.
It's definitely DIFFERENT, but I dont think that necessarily translates into it being a wreck. It's gonna either be a big hit or a flop, no in-betweens.
I actually think some parts of it are kind of hot, especially the beginning of the song. I think the video will definitely be hot and crazy, and that could really propel this song at radio.
Maybe they are going for the shock value tactic, like, Have you HEARD Gwen's new song?? It's totally crazy!

I actually think some parts of it are kind of hot, especially the beginning of the song. I really do... I think the beginning is hype and it can get people moving. Like, people need to get over the fact that she's "yodelling". lol..I realize it must sound ridiculous but people need to open their minds a bit. It's so different and quirky but it works with the beat.

Link added.
It's #88 at CHR/Pop and has a +142 bullet. That's from last night's airplay alone.

This came on that Atlanta Top 40 station while I was driving in my car. Initally, I thought it was one of those Ricola commercials because of the yodeling. LOL.
Anyways, I think the song is rubbish, and her voice sounds like Mimi Mouse on crack. I'm offended that Gwen would release this trash as the lead single. Since she's releasing a half-assed single on a half-assed album, I'm gonna be a half-assed fan and just download the record.

#73 Pop after just 2 days... One major advantage this song has is that there's no other big name artists dropping lead singles this Fall. If radio stations are looking for an event single, they kind of have to go to this by default

The HQ version is infinitely better than the original leaked version. I don't love this song (although upon retrospect it isn't nearly as godawful as I originally thought), but it's got the annoying factor and the name behind it - it will, at the very least, do as well as "Déjà Vu" and "Ring the Alarm," and probably easily outperform them. If we're lucky, they'll come out with a remix that loses the sample, which would improve the song markedly.

EW also slams it on their website.

Just listened to the HQ. I love Gwen. This song is fun and I think it will be a big download hit. I don't either hate it or love it at this point. It's just OK.

What is she trying to be.... this generation's Cyndi Lauper? Even she made better music when she was trying to be weird and different...

I am loving this. I appreciate Gwen all the more for not being afraid to release this jam. I'll take this any day over songs like "Lips of An Angel" or "Money Maker."

Although the song is awful, I'm still curious about how the album will take shape. I wonder if it'll suck as much as I'm assuming it will, or if it will actually surprise all of us and be decent. Fat chance.
