She really needs to do promo for this. People know about her, but few have actually been able to see her on TV in an interview or whatever.

I have to check out that remix with Pharoahe Monch, I used to have this song and "Push" on repeat.

This was played on Grey's Anatomy last night. Actually, You Know I'm No Good was played during the show. Rehab (only the instrumental) was played during the previews for next week.

Remix being done with Jay Z

Remix being done with Jay Z NO WAY!!! That's awesome. Even though Jay-Z hasn't had a Pop hit in years now, he's still a mainstream rapper and mixed with Amy's hype and album sales, it just may do the trick. Hopefully it'll help her out in NYC even if nowhere else.

Remix being done with Jay Z Maybe the DJ got it wrong, but I just heard the DJ on XM's 20 on 20 say Jay-Z was actually jumping on a remix of "You Know I'm No Good"..... not "Rehab."

*Tuesday: April 24, 2007 THE ROUND UP: SNOOPS OFFERS TO APPEAR ON OPRAH; PASTOR’S DAUGHTER SORRY, & JAY-Z HELPS WINEHOUSE.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[ POSTED BY: Angel ]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Snoop Dogg has offered to appear on Oprah Winfrey’s TV talk show to debate the use of racist and sexist lyrics in rap music. Last week, the hip-hop star’s name was mentioned on The Oprah Winfrey Show in a discussion about the lyrical content of rap albums and the effects such music is having on children.
But despite Winfrey’s opposition to graphic rap lyrics, Snoop Dogg - real name Calvin Broadus - wants to sit down and talk with her on her show. He tells MTV, “I’m a fan of Oprah. I feel like whatever they’re saying about me, negative or positive, I appreciate it. [READ MORE]
YOU’RE NOT SORRY, YOU’RE JUST SORRY YOU GOT CAUGHT!!
Just in case you missed the updated post on that whole Akon / 14 year-old scandal - here is the latest:
Deena Alleyne says she is sorry for her raunchy dancing with Senegal-born US artiste Akon at the Zen nightclub on Thursday.
A video clip of the act was posted on the YouTube-Broadcast Yourself website but later pulled after a notification to YouTube by Universal Music Group.
“This whole hip hop thing is a guise and I don’t want any part of it, I don’t want to be any part of it,” said Alleyne during an interview at Chaguanas yesterday.
“Look at what I have to go through with one mistake that I made. My dad warned me every time and I didn’t listen. I am sorry. [SOURCE]
JAY-Z TO HOOK UP AMY WINEHOUSE
Jay Z has reportedly added his hip hop stylings to Amy Winehouse’s song Rehab to help the British soul star break into the mainstream American market. Word is he is big fan of hers and remixed the song so that it can “appeal to a wider audience.”

Now THIS is what a diva should sound like. She's so rock and roll compared to the others of her ilk, it hurts. Writes her own stuff as well (I mean, she really does, if you know what I mean). I have to say I'm amazed she's done so well over here as she's so un-polished and non-airbrushed. Gives me hope for the future. And if the Monkeys get into the Top 10 next week I'll be applying for my Green Card. lol.

The adds date has been postponed to May 22. Ugh. I'm ready to see what this will do on the charts. "You Know I'm No Good" is showing new life so that's probably one reason. The other is probably to give Jay-Z enough time to do what he wants with the remix.
