so they finally are relesing "fergalicious" i think they were fools for not releasing it as the second single it could have been huge there.

They were going to release it last Christmas, the video was on TV quite a bit and it even got to #26 on the download chart, so I'm not sure why they didn't before, actually.

I think her vocals suit the pop/rock version way more than the sparse production of the original. It's amazing what a little extra melody can do for songs; I remember some unofficial remix of Shake It Off that sounded soulful just because it wasn't the same damn four chords repeating over and over again throughout the song's entirety.
