Yeah. I kind of agree. I hope this is a huge hit though. I mean she's coming off of 3 consecutive #1 hits. Yeah 2 of them may have been from a different era, but they weren't all that long ago. I'm hoping some of that can atleast carry this high enough where the people can get it higher. I think that releasing this isn't a bad idea, but they should release something else first. Like Please Don't Leave Me.

People are going to say "Please Don't Leave Me" is a Who Knew knock-off, but aside from it being a midtempo guitar ballad, they're nothing alike. Talk about a fantastic song.
This one has really grown on me too. Hopefully the production is solid...her background singers do make all of her live performances sound a lot more raw than her records.

^Yeah. I hate the live performances of Who Knew. I dont get WHY she uses backup singers. She's not someone who needs them. And its not like she's so quiet that she needs extra vocals. lol She should just do without them or get someone who has a similar voice.

This is okay, but bland. It doesn't have half the power "Who Knew" did.

No offense to "So What" - it's actually really great, but substance-wise it's not her best single. Look at those Katy Perry singles, and look at how well the new Britney Spears single is performing. You know things are different when Mariah's cooky, mid-tempo sex jam goes to No. 1, but her ballad-by-the-numbers (no matter how awful) barely scratches the top 20. None of these songs will be relevant in five years...it's like all the kids these days are getting a taste of their favorite flavor and moving on to the next thirty seconds later without even thinking about the previous. But you can say that in any circumstance. After a song becomes a hit, the day-to-day pop listener more likely than not isn't going to run out and play it three months down the line. I don't even think anyone checks for "Lollipop" anymore.

I'm liking this miles better than "So What".

I like this a lot! It's got 80's and 90's influences I think. It also reminds me a little of "Dear Diary" except less ballady. I love the "coming down, coming down" bit at the end. I think it's one of her more mature singles.

The Secret Gig performance of this is incredible. This is seriously shaping up to be her best album. It's got the pop sensibilities and production of I'm Not Dead yet a lot of it still evokes the same vulnerability that characterized so much of Try This.

^YES! I love Try This & IND for 2 different reasons. Try This is more raw, real and vulnerable, and I'm Not Dead is just Pop/rock perfection.

I like the studio version but I thought they could've done more with it.

Yeah, I like it better live. The studio version is too "produced."

Okay.. after hearing the full HQ this is SO GOOD! The studio version that leaked earlier was NOT the studio version. It was from the T4 performance.

This is okay, but the chorus is really underwhelming.

Yeah, I actually like the studio version more. The bridge is WAY stronger. I'd say this is her shot at 4 Pop #1's in a row. Wasn't Justin the last to do that?

I used to think she was using "Sober" as a metaphor for her relationship with Carey or something, but now that I've seen the lyrics, it's definitely about something she's been on recently. Do you guys think this is about heroine or X? I'm pretty sure she's dabbled into both, but I hope it's not the former.

This is a nice song, it's a grower. I don't think it's one her most radio-friendly singles but coming off "So What" it could do well.
Wow, I think the only single I don't like from her is "Most Girls" so far.

Much better than "So What" and probably one of the best five singles of her career. I love the "ahhh-ahhhh-ahhh" parts of the pre-chorus.

I love the "ahhh-ahhhh-ahhh" parts of the pre-chorus. That's definitely Danja's doing. I don't think it's even her singing them. He and Timbo are really good at using really dramatic background vocals to create a very atmospheric sound (Say It Right, Apologize, Break The Ice).
