Her only amazing ballad IMO is Everytime. One of her best songs ever period.

A lot of the stuff that I thought was autotune (the higher stuff on Blackout) actually wasn't. Like I thought "Hot As Ice" was pitch-shifted for sure, then I listened to her singing something on Ellen and was dumbfounded by how chipmunk-like she sounds when she goes high.

It's definitely going to regain again. I don't know about another #1 but this is definitely one of early 2009's biggest hits.

This would be the first time she gets two Pop #1's from the same album since her debut right? Or would it be the first time ever?

I think it would be the first time ever. Her pop #1's are Hit me Baby, Oops, Toxci and Womanizer.

The production of the chorus really reminds me of her early production. I definitely hear "Overprotected" and even "Oops... I Did It Again" a little bit.
I wonder how different (possibly better?) it would sound if it used more current production elements instead (like synths or something).

I think the fact that this doesn't sound current is whats helping it.
I'm actually sick of this song though. lol

This may not sound current in the sense that it doesn't blend in with the Katy Perry/Pink/Kelly/Veronicas dancey pop-rock sound, but that doesn't mean it sounds dated.
As a matter of fact, this is now easily my favorite Britney song ever. We went crazy when they played it at our school dance last night, and it sounds HOT as hell on the radio. She really deserves a #1 with this, hopefully Kanye doesn't prevent that - deserving as "Heartless" is. It'd be even nicer if "Sober" went all the way for a week, too.

To be honest, I don't see Heartless going #1 on Pop.

I much prefer the mashup of "Circus" with Madonna's "Miles Away"
