BETTER not be a midtempo. She needs a club song.

It's been described as an "R&B Midtempo" and like you've never heard her before.

But then again, Popjustice's description of it makes me think it's another "Halo." NEXT.

American Idol winner Jordin Sparks is gearing up for the release of her sophomore album, and the No Air singer has now given PopJustice an exclusive first look at her first single "Battlefield".
The song is described as "mid tempo R&B" and was penned by Ryan Tedder. It's also said to have an huge, epic hook, with Jordin belting "Why does love always feel like a BATTLEFIELD! LIKE A BATTLEFIELD! LIKE A BATTLEFIELD! Why does love always feel like a BATTLEFIELD! LIKE A BATTLEFIELD! LIKE A BATTLEFIELD!"
In fact, PopJustice love the song so much they've predicted it to be a sure fire number one.
This is great and I really like Jordin so I hope she does well. I've been anticipating her new music like crazy ever since she debut those 4 new tracks on the John Jay & Rich Show, and whilst I'm not sure if her new single is gonna go number one I'm almost certain it'll be top 10 material. I'm sure they've given her a huge, radio friendly smash, similar to the material on Kelly Clarksons Breakaway album. I cn't wait, but is it just me, or does anybody else think that the "love feels like a battlefield" chorus sounds like it'll be similar to Keri Hilson's Energy?

I just read the PopJustice review. I don't always agree with everything they say, but the song sounds promising.

I never agree with Popjustice, and from the way it's described, it sounds like "Halo." I don't really have any expectations.

This is amazing. Perfect lead single. It kinda reminds me of that Ashlee Simpson that should've been a hit but wasn't.

This is fantastic. I love the bridge, and the drum line reminds me of "In the Air Tonight" during the opening verse for some reason.
I can't imagine it will top the performance of "No Air," but there's no way this won't be a hit for her.
