I thought I'd make a separate thread for Pop since this may have quite a different run here than on Rhythmic and Urban radio.

I guess that's a respectable adds date, but really I don't think Pop will jump on this until "Obsessed" heads recurrent and this becomes a Rhythmic hit.

I think the adds date will get pushed up with her songs falling on all formats. It needs to if she wants holiday sales to peak/gain with this song.

I predict this will do very well on the Pop format. "Obsessed" is still Top 10 with a positive bullet. This is the perfect "second" single.  It's nice for the Fall season as well. I say Top 5 for sure. |

I hope they come up with some kind of edit...I think that's crucial for any kind of Pop success. It'd be icing on the cake if she went in and sung the first verse in full voice, but that's pretty much out of the question unless she's already done that.

People on Pulse are saying there's an edit where the whole second verse is cut out and the fade-out is extended. Both excellent moves on the label's part if that's indeed true. That'll cut some of the fat off the song and make it short and sweet for radio to play. I think this bodes well for this song.

I love the second verse but I agree it needs to be cut down a little for radio. AllAccess doesn't have a link to the song up yet.

Thanks! I miss that second verse.
Now that Rihanna is releasing a ballad I'm afraid this doesn't have a chance on Pop. Hopefully it can still be a decent hit on Urb and Rhy.

The remix was playlisted on Radio 1 (1Extra) - this is the first song they've added from the era (and of course Universal is releasing IWKWLI as the lead single in the UK).
