It has been announced via Kelly Rowland’s official MySpace page, that she is set to release two Stateside singles simultaneously – ‘Grown Woman’ and ‘Rose Coloured Glasses’.
As previously reported, ‘Grown Woman’, which was produced by Stargate and written by Ne-Yo, will serve as Rowland’s Urban-geared release (Urban MainStream and Crossover).
For the mainstream audience (Top 40 and Rhythm), the Dr Luke produced / Ester Dean penned ‘Rose Coloured Glasses’ will be serviced. Both songs are set to make their radio debut on June 29th. Commander serves as the International single
Rose Colored Glasses:
this is all kinds of hot!! really good and a real grower

WTF
This doesn't sound like a hit at all. Ugh, I hate American radio sometimes; "Commander" is just so damn good.

I actually really like it, but not single material.

I love it but I wouldn't release it as the first single. I wonder why they don't want to release "Commander" in the US?

WTF. I loved the first three songs that leaked, but not a fan of this or Grown Woman at all. She needs better songwriters...still.

this will be a good decision in the long run, because "Commander" is HOT but it's risky to release in the U.S. because it's a bit too dancy similar to "When Love Takes Over" and that underperformed.

I hate her upper register. The verses are hot but the chorus is so weak.

This project is a disaster. This isn't good or bad. It's just there, and it's certainly not good enough for Pop radio to say, "We have to play this!" I don't understand why they just didn't send "Commander" everywhere.

I would absolutely choose this as the first single over "Commander" in the US. I really like this song and could totally picture it on the radio. I'm not sure why everyone is so iffy about it.

Kelly Rowland has selected two new U.S. singles from her forthcoming third album. Urban radio will receive “Grown Woman,” while pop radio will be serviced with “Rose Colored Glasses” produced by Dr. Luke (Katy Perry, Flo Rida) and written by Ester Dean (Rihanna, Christina Aguilera).
The Destiny’s Child darling exposes the ugly truth hidden beneath her former lover’s pretty exterior. “‘Cause everything is beautiful when you’re looking through rose colored glasses,” she sings on the mid-tempo production.

I don't understand why they just didn't send "Commander" everywhere. It's too dancey for the US. I love "Commander" but i never saw it being a big hit here. I think this song sounds like a summer SMASH. Definitely the mid tempo/ballad pop has been waiting for.

She's gonna flop again. Her label is awful. This is ok.

I think "The Sound" and/or "Shake Them Haters Off" would've been much bigger first Pop/Rhythmic singles.

I prefer "Shake the haters off" over this but I think this just sounds summery to me.

On second listen, I'm really really liking this. The verses are sick, and the chorus is a grower. This is definitely her best shot at US hit. Rihanna now wishes she had a song like this.
