I hate her urban songs, but I'd rather have "Orange County Girl" or "Breakin' Up" over this. They atleast have hot beats.

Interscope actually wanted this as the lead single. Gwen wanted "Wind It Up". Jimmy Iovine said he wants the urban songs released.

Where are you hearing this? Man, worse than "Wind It Up"? I need to hear it to believe it. It features a Pharrell rap and the end sounds like a crackheaded cartoon. That's all you need to know. the only thing that could make this song worse if Pharrell singing on it. though i guess they're saving that for the remix

The moron responsible for creating Urban Gwen and possibly ruining any musical credibility she has/had and quite possibly causing some problems for any future No Doubt album(s).

She's getting on in years.
He really did prolong the dropoff she was going to experience sooner rather than later. I think by the time that No Doubt releases their new album, they'll be at the same level of hype and excitement as they were when they released Rocksteady. And that sold over 3 million copies.

Nothing wrong with urban Gwen as long as the right singles are chosen. Rich Girl, Hollaback Girl and Luxurious weren't bad choices. Yummy is.

Even I have my limits, I didn't care one way or the other for Wind It Up, but disco tetris sucks.

Now that I've heard it in HQ I appreciate it more...and it's still catchy as hell...I just think that there are so many other tracks on the album that are worthy of being singles. Besides, she released Wind It Up instead, and I would hate for her to be like Fergie and release two novelty tracks in a row. Now That You've Got It is the best of all the R&B stuff on the album becuase the verses are so damn good, but Early Winter, Wonderful Life, 4 AM, and Fluroescent are some of her best solo tracks period. No matter what she releases, at least two of those four won't ever be released, which totally blows, becuase no one is going to give a crap about Wind It Up or Yummy a year from now. I'm kind of glad Sweet Escape isn't being released now, though, because it hasn't stuck nearly as much as some of the other tracks on the album.
