I don't know if I should put them here. This is their new single from their sophomore album, Neon Bible. I like it, but I really want a HQ version. This features a full church organ, but it's kind of poppy for them. The lyrics should be a reflection of the album. Listen "Intervention" here. www.myspace.com/arcadefire

I really like this song. I never really listened to the first album much, so I don't know if this is better or worse than what was on their first album.

This is going to be amazing in HQ.
The instrumental reminds me a lot of Neutral Milk Hotel, especially in the beginning, with the strumming guitar.
That being said... I don't know if I like it as immediatley as I did anything from Funeral.

Heard it on Zane Lowe's show last week. Really good, and it certainly bodes well for the new material!

Another track leaked accidentily on ITunes and you can find it on blogs. It's called Black Wave/Bad Vibrations and it's also really good, but I prefer Intervention.

This album will take a lot more time to grow on me than Funeral. It's excellent, and I really enjoy it, but for the moment, I don't think it's as good as their first album. It's got a very, very strong hymnal and church sound and theme running through it. And I don't think there are as many immediatley accessible melodies and choruses as there were in Funeral. "Ocean of Noise", "Neon Bible" and "Intervention" are my two immediate favorites but I can see "Windowsill" becoming one of my long-term favorites as well. We'll see. I think this seems like more of a grower than Funeral, which I fell in love with the first time I heard it.

The standouts to me are "Keep The Car Running," "Intervention," "Black Waves/Bad Vibrations," and my favorite, "No Cars Go". I agree that the album as a whole is not as immediate as Funeral, and I don't know if I'll like it as much as Funeral, but it's still a really good album as a hole.

Their performance of this on SNL a few minutes ago was fantastic.
I have no idea why this isn't the first single in the United States.
They seriously released one of my worst tracks from the new album as the first single. Which sucks.

I have no idea why this isn't the first single in the United States. I agree. This song is way too good to not be the single. I guess it doesn't matter though because US Alt radio usually won't play anything above a certain quality level anyway.

The album is expected to debut at #1 in the UK. That's amazing.

I don't like this album as much as their debut.
I don't skip anything on Funeral. There are songs I skip now on this one.

I can't believe this was beaten to #1 in the UK by the massively overrated Kaiser Cheifs. My favourites are "No Cars Go", "Intervention", "Keep The Car Running", "Black Wave/Bad Vibrations" and "Ocean of Noise". The only track I skip is "Neon Bible".

I still don't know why "Intervention" hasn't been released here.
It's one of the best songs they've ever made and lyrically it is incredibly tied in to what's going on right now in the world.
It also makes me borderline cry every time I hear it.

From what I saw of it on TV, their Glasto set was brilliant. They're due to perform a live session on BBC Radio 2 on Thursday at 8.30pm GMT. You'll be able to listen here.
