The full album is a little underwhelming. I guess it'll have to grow on me.

Perfect description I read on another board:
"No Doubt for hipsters."
So true.

Perfect description I read on another board: "No Doubt for hipsters." So true. Yes. I definitely see that. Especially on "You'll Find a Way" as I posted last night. She's like Gwen on crack and replacing the corny aspects with creative aspects.

If you really want to hear her do the No Doubt sound, listen to her old band Stiffed's music.

My favorites are definitely "L.E.S. Artistes," "I'm A Lady," and "Shove It."
"I'm A Lady" has a massive Pixies influence, and they're one of my favorite bands of all time. I'm also a big fan of Spank Rock so I really like "Shove It." "Lights Out" is pretty nice, too.

She's working on a song about Converse trainers with the Strokes and Pharrell. Sounds... interesting.

This album is really solid. My favourites on first listen are "L.E.S Artistes" (of course), "Shove It", "Creator", "Say Aha" and "Anne". The only track I'm not so keen on at the moment is "My Superman".

I'll give the album a listen. I often don't like the lead single but I surprisingly enjoy the album.

So was "L.E.S. Artistes" basically the first single? If so, is there going to be a second one?
