#10 on the Hot 100. Never expected to see a Canadian Idol that wasn't Hedley get anywhere close to there. Yeah, and Hedley never even charted on the Hot 100, right? If they did it sure as hell wasn't near the Top 10! So I think Canada and the UK remain the only countries with significant 'Idol' hits in the US. I know some members of that group Carolina Liar were on Swedish Idol but I think their biggest Hot 100 hit peaked in the 40's.

I'm liking this. It sounds like a blend of singer-songwriter folk rock and dubstep.
He used to date Amy Winehouse.

This shows that streaming must be worth even more than airplay now

521k is the official number as per Billboard. This sh*t is debuting at #1 on the Hot 100. It does not! It debuts at #2 thanks to the new On-Demand chart covering the difference between "Boyfriend"'s sales + airplay and that of fun.

It reminds me a little of that "Ready to Go" song by I forget who.
This isn't anything special to me. His best song is "Must Be Dreamin" from the second album.

Kind of surprised by those adds. This doesn't sound like the type of dance that's in right now at all. It sounds like something from a drag queen club in the 90's or something you'd expect on a Rhythmic AC station. It doesn't sound like the synth-heavy dance of the EDM trend.

#1 at Pop radio
If this hold til Sunday night, it's the first official Pop #1 by a boyband since "All or Nothing" by O-Town in summer 2001.

Those songs suck and this sucks too.

I love this. They should break out in a big way. This and "Lions In Cages" sound like massive #1 hits to me... and there's plenty other Top 5 contenders on their album too.

This is a surefire hit but my faith in US radio is very low... watch the suits over at ClearChannel f**k this up.

This sounds like LFO.
Another reason to avoid radio. Can't believe how quickly radio is embracing this though- they never really played him much before.

mtvU has been killing this since Christmas. It's nothing special at all to me. It's the kind of "safe different" perfect for radio, aka an alternative from the pop sounds of Katy Perry or Drake but still generic.

Also they are from five acts that no one heard of one year ago! (Ok, I heard of Foster the People a year ago but barely)

SMASHING in the UK now.
I still hope this becomes a summer breakout hit. It's been WAY too huge everywhere else to do nothing in the US. It's not like he's a stranger here either.

Supposedly he's performing this on SNL and having this song featured on Glee around the same time in mid-April. Hot 100 #1 still possible?
Also, his album enter the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 this week.
Furthermore, this is #1 in the UK for a 5th week right now.
Gotye's year!

Hot. I could see this being big in general in the UK and big in clubs in the US.

I really like this now. One of the only pop songs of the moment that I enjoy.
I think this would have done a lot more two years ago than now though. It's struggling just to go Top 30.

This is okay to me now. Typical radio song- not bad at all, but nothing outstanding that would make me want to listen on my own time.
