I remember hearing this song all over the radio and on some commercials. Then I saw the video and I was very surprised because I never pictured a black guy singing such a cool rock song like this.

I thought he was way more consistent before this album even though he was less successful. I enjoyed the really classic rock and soul sounds he had going before he started having major pop crossover success. This song wasn't bad at all though... one of the better songs of his crossover period. It was SO OVERPLAYED at Alternative radio though.

I prefer stuff like "It Ain't Over Til It's Over" or "Can't Get You Off My Mind" instead of this.

I love this song. It made me go and buy the album almost the first day I heard it. My high school was obsessed!
It's weird, because before this song came out I always heard the name "Lenny Kravitz" but had no idea what he sang, and just assumed he was washed up. But this made him so popular! I think it was a mistake for him to release "American Woman" as a follow-up when it wasn't even on his album. It really killed the momentum of the album.

I like this song, but Q1043 used to do "future classic rock" a lot and during my freshman year of high school I heard it every morning on that station..which annoyed the hell out of me.

For some reason I can't stand Lenny Kravitz now.

I prefer his earlier material.
