My second favorite from The Goo Goo Dolls, behind Iris.

I like it a lot, but it's not one my favorites by them.

I never liked this one much. I thought it was really, really slow and boring.

It's not one of their best but it's still good and I like it a lot. It's very much similar to "Better Days" though I love that more than this.

For several years this was my all-time favorite song, now it has fallen back to like #3 or #4, so of course I love it!!

I thought Black Balloon was given the shaft on pop radio. Yeah, it lasted a while, but this easily should have been another top 5 hit for them there. Thank goodness HAC radio had enough sense to send this to the top 3.
About the song itself - I think it is excellent.,

I've been listening to this so much lately! I never knew it was about the bassist's wife who died from a heroin overdose. That's really sad.

this is an amazing song! its not my ultimate favourite from the dizzy album, but its one of my favourites.
When I play the dizzy album, I listen to dizzy, slide, broadway, black balloon, iris and name (bonus track on the australian version). Slide and name are my ultimate favourites.

This was such a strong era for them. This, "Iris," and "Slide" are all AMAZING. "Black Balloon" was the album track I had on repeat constantly before it became a single. I love everything about this song.
