I'm confused. Is this who sang this song, and is this right title of this New Wave hit? Did the band just never release an album?

It's the right name of the band and song. According to their bio, they released a five-track EP with this song on it. Neither this song nor the EP were very successful on the charts, so a full-album never came.
It's a good song though, I've always liked it. It's one of those 80's "hits" that's more famous than its chart history would indicate.

LOVE this song! The Hot AC station here plays it all the time (or atleast they used to). I haven't heard it in awhile.
