NOTE: Live to Tell wasn't the first single from True Blue and Die Another Day was not the first single from American Life

I genuinely love all of them aside from "American Life," which is her worst single ever. I could honestly choose several of them, but I've been on a big 80's Madonna kick lately, and my current fav is "Everybody."

"Like A Prayer" is my favorite from the list, but I was like 5 or something when it was out so I don't know it as a lead single.
When I think of a great Madonna lead single, I think "Frozen." It had the hype and excitment of new Madonna. It was an event single that opened a great era for her. It still sounds fresh to me... just not in a radio way (but it didn't really sound like '98 radio either)

"Like A Prayer"
I never realized how weak many of her lead singles have been in comparison to the ones that followed them up.

"Secret," with "Music" coming in a close second.

Wouldn't "Vogue" be the first single from 'I'm Breathless'?
My choice would be "Like A Prayer."

"Vogue" came out over the spring of 1990. "Hanky Panky" was released over the summer. ...and how is "Live To Tell" not the lead single from True Blue if that's where it was featured first?

It was on the At Close Range soundtrack first... just like people don't count "Die Another Day" as the lead single from AL.. I wish Vogue was included... it'd be a lot closer vote methinks.
