Some bouncy, anonymous Pop from sometime in the 90's. It's catchy as hell. What year is this from?

1997. Good Lord this song is cheesy, LOL. I don't think I ever heard this on the radio. It was always one of those songs that played at the movie theater before the film started.

Yeah, I don't ever remember hearing it on radio either. I have to take that back now. I heard this on the radio a few times but ONLY on one station: Q102 Philadelphia. That station was all about the Wild Orchid/Jordan Hill/She Moves types.

It actually peaked at #32 on the Hot 100. Color me surprised.

Cheesy? Eh, maybe. But I liked it. However, I never heard it until WELL after it was out (like 2000!)

I never liked the original version. I liked the "This Is Your Night"-style dance mix that some of the stations would play.

I never liked the original version. I liked the "This Is Your Night"-style dance mix that some of the stations would play. That's because The Berman Brothers produced this song and also remixed it... on their usual dance style of the time (i.e. Real McCoy, Amber). This song was definitely played a lot in NYC. I think they might have much better luck on any other label, but sadly they were signed to Geffen. I really don't know why even Geffen bothered signing non-alternative acts. Everything on the label that wasn't alternative flopped.

I remember Z100 playing it infrequently...which I guess it was why it was #100 on the Top 100 of 1997. And yeah, I too think I heard it more in the movie theater.
They're like a bad 3rd Party knockoff...which isn't saying much at all, haha.
