This was okay, but it was pretty ironic releasing it as a single.

Favorite single from the album. Her vocals bothered me in all of her other singles from that CD.

love it. apparently this is about Esthero being pissed at Nelly going "mainstream" as opposed to the Canadian indie hip hop type scene.

probably...it's funny because her debut was not mainstream imo...i mean it's so eclectic.

It's her most mainstream, but I don't think she sacrificed her talent or lyrics what so ever. That's why I didn't really understand all the criticism she got.

Yeah, but a lot of the songs sound like they could have been on Folklore or Whoa Nelly! Maneater, Te Busque, Say It Right, All Good Things and Afraid are still Nelly. Her style changed some, but she has always had hip-hop influence in her music.though too.

maneater would never have been on "Folklore" ..and i don't think "afraid" could have been there either...it's different... i mean her debut was eclectic so th epop songs don't fit there and folklore was more soft rock so it doesn't fit there either.

Well, I wasn't saying all those would fit on Folklore. I think Maneater and Afraid could have been on Whoa Nelly. But even still, they aren't like a HUGE departure from HER. I don't base what an artist is gonna do by their previous work, but more about their personality. She did a remix with Missy Elliott, so she obviously into hip-hop. Plus, like I said, her first 2 albums did have a lot of hip-hop influence. I just don't think Loose was THAT huge of a departure.

I remember loving this back in the day, but now I can't help but think of JoJo when I hear it. Same co-writer or just that time?
