This was a great gospel-tinged dance track done by Clivilles & Cole in the early 90's at the height of their success. It was originally released by the C+C Music Factory in 1992. In 1994, Aretha Franklin released her version giving an absolutely phenomenal vocal performance.. It became a #1 club hit twice.

I love this song! Aretha's version is incredible, her vocal precense is fantastic. Too bad they didn't give Martha Wash a chance to do this one, because that would've been incredible as well.

I liked C&C's version of this, but it was all about Aretha Franklin's one for me! She did a spectacular job on it

Actually, this was never released under the C+C moniker but rather under Clivillés + Cole feat. Deborah Cooper moniker. I never liked this version, but I love love love Aretha's version. It should've been a hit. It was made for the "Sister Act 2: Back In The Habit" soundtrack, and it sounds amazing on the big screen. "Sister Act" contained "Just A Touch Of Love (Everyday)" by C+C Music Factory feat. Zelma Davis... the original version, and once again, it sounded great on the big screen. Their second album sucked to seventh heaven, but that's nothing compared to their third album... a complete piece of garbage. I was more upset because I paid $$$ for the import version, since MCA canceled its stateside release. The album has nothing but bad hip-hop/R&B tracks. The only dance music included are two bonus tracks, which are remixes. Avoid. I was really disappointed that their other project, The S.O.U.L. S.Y.S.T.E.M., fell apart quickly even though they had an scheduled album ("Anything Goes!"). "It's Gonna Be A Lovely Day" is one of my favorite songs, and it's one of the sexiest club jams around. ;D
