Jomanda were one of the groups trying to capitalize on the early 90's R&B girl group explosion although they experienced way more success as a dance group. They had tight harmonies like En Vogue with a dance vibe. This was their biggest hit. Steve "Silk" Hurley did a popular remix of this song that topped the club play chart in 1991. Their only other hit was a cover of DeBarge's "I Like It" two years after this one came out.

Loved this one! They had great vocals!
Dance singer Reina covered this a few years ago on the now-defunct Groovilcious Music label.

Unsung club classic. It very much carries that whole loved-up vibe of the club music explosion Europe and especially the UK were experiencing back then.

This is a really fun track, not my favorite by them though. I prefer "Don't You Want My Love"

It's criminal that the single peaked at No. 40. The Steve "Silk" Hurley remix was THE single version, "Hurley's Radio". "Hurley's House Mix" was the mix of choice in the clubs, and the version featured on the reissue of Jomanda's debut album. Great great song. A lot of people don't realize that Yavahn (Joanne "Yavahn" Thomas) was one of the girls from Jomanda. She had a HUGE worldwide hit with Ruffneck, "Everybody Be Somebody", as well as their follow up "Move Your Body". (The other two girls in Jomanda were Renee Washington and Cheri Williams). Sadly, Yavahn lost her three year battle with colon cancer, and passed away in 2003. RIP.
