I'm starting to re-listen to some early UK garage again lately. I remember loving this stuff around 2000 when this stuff was coming out. It was when Artful Dodger and MJ Cole were super hot. One of my favorites from 2000 was "Girls Like Us," which I remember hearing all over the place. This is a classic track IMO. It has the TIGHTEST.BEAT.EVER. I thought this was a great time for UK dance music. Unfortunately, the genre became diluted by a lot of people hopping on the bandwagon. Most of it began to suck around 2003 or so. Definitely a chick song, but still phenomenal nonetheless. VIDEO LINK

This is one of those songs that I know well and like, but could never tell you the name of or who sings it. It is really good, though.

This is fun. It's a shame the garage sound didn't become bigger, especially in the US where we pretty much had "Fill Me In" and "Gotta Get Thru This" only.
