Big NYC-NJ hit from 1998! It will forever reminds me of boardwalk trash! I like it.

It will forever reminds me of boardwalk trash! hahaha I liked all her hits from this album. She took forever to release the singles from this album though. She released one a year from 1996 to 1999.

What singles were released again and when?
I just remember this one, the remake duet with some guy, and the "Fell In Love" one.

1996 I Fell In Love (#61 Hot 100) 1997 In A Dream (#72 Hot 100) 1998 Can't We Try (#59 Hot 100) 1999 When I'm Gone
I guess "When I'm Gone" was just a NY area hit because it didn't chart and the clubs don't play releases from the Robbins label so she has no club play stats. I'm kind of surprised "When I'm Gone" didn't chart though because I heard it the most out of all of these. Z100 used to play it in frequent rotation every summer from 1999 to 2002.

Yeah "When I'm Gone" is the one I heard the most too, aside from "In A Dream." I don't know why I thought "In A Dream" was a bigger "hit" than all of her other singles. I also don't know why I thought it was from 1998. DId Z100 wait to start playing it a year late or something? I also remember hearing "I Fell In Love" on KTU a lot in 1999, maybe they added it as a Gold then because I always thought it was from '99.
Oh, and there was a lyric from "When I'm Gone" that I always liked and I can't think of what it is now.

I don't really have the greatest concept of when her songs first came out, especially because Z100 played her songs as Golds for awhile. lol
I can't think of a reason why "In A Dream" would have hit the Hot 100 without Z100 support, but it does feel like it was released a lot closer to "When I'm Gone" than 2 years. "In A Dream," "Can't We Try," and "When I'm Gone" felt like they had a pretty normal length between singles to me.

I hated Rockell's version of this song.
Local artist Jossette had done this song too in early 1997 and that was the one that was more popular here. It felt more like a throwback to the early 90's freestyle.
Rockell's version only gets played here now because Energy 92.7 has that one.
The dance mix of "When I'm Gone" got a lot of play in the mixshows here.
