The last good album Diana Ross released was Take Me Higher in 1995. The title track became a #1 Dance hit in the USA. If you ask me, several elements of the record were lifted from "100% Pure Love" by Crystal Waters. But, anyway, the hook on this song is pretty catchy. And there are dozens of hot remixes to this song, including versions by Junior Vazquez and Roger Sanchez. US Hot 100: #114, US R&B: #77, US Dance: #1(1 week), UK: #32

I actually think this is one of her better solo singles. It's fun without being overly corny. I mean the whole 90's dance vibe is corny in itself, but the lyrics don't really make me want to vomit.

But I wouldn't be surprised if Junior did one of his tacky bootleg mixes for this song. There were TONS of mixes commissioned for this song, and NONE of them were ever released in their full glory on CD format, although badly edited mixes made their way onto the CD Maxi Part 2 of "I'm Gone". UK mixes from EMI UK: T-Empo, BT, Felix Da Housecat, Klubhead (aka Blaze), Reverend Jefferson, Nush, and Joe Claussell. US mixes from Motown US: DJ Spen (of Basement Boys), The Baka Boyz, Mohamed Moretta, and Kevin Hodge & Timmy Regisford. The Hodge/Regisford tracks were really mixes (not remixes); as they are variations of the original version, on extended form. Roger Sanchez remixed the third international single, "I Will Survive".

^ Hmmm... Seems like I ran across a Junior remix on a compilation CD, even though it never appeared on any of her singles. You're right about Roger, though: That was "I Will Survive."

But I wouldn't be surprised if Junior did one of his tacky bootleg mixes for this song. That was a DMC mix.
