Back around 1999 and 2000, the UK was exporting plenty of great dance music. Basement Jaxx was one of the more consistent groups from this time frame IMO. "Red Alert" is my favorite from them. It's like a collection of random sound effects that coalesce into a great groove. You can tell the track is really influenced by George Clinton-style funk. I really used to like this one...
