I will never understand why this song semi-flopped back in 1985. It's probably my favorite DeBarge single and it should have been a hit coming after the big hits "Rhythm Of The Night" and "Who's Holding Donna Now?" It's completely hooky and the production is very polished. Yet I never hear it on oldies radio or anything! Looking at the VIDEO, there was apparently some "Miami Vice" tie-in that I don't understand because Crockett and Tubbs are all over the place. Also, it seems like I saw El DeBarge performing it on a rerun of the "Facts of Life." Hot 100: #46, US R&B: #7, US Dance: #1, UK: #54

As a kid, I totally thought that this was marketed as a solo El Debarge single. I think he guest starred on Miami vice before, which might explain the video. It's not one of my favorites, but I did enjoy it.
